MACBOOK USERS REJOICE!
READ THE CARD THAT COMES WITH THE PRODUCT FIRST!!!!If only I had read it first, I wouldn't have wasted almost 2.30 hrs of my time trying to install the SSD with Big sur Disk utility, If you have updated to big sur, the ssd won't get recognised. Even with Diskutil command in Terminal, It wont recognise. You have downgrade to Mojave(Worked for me) or Catalina for SSD to recognise. Also you need to create a Mojave bootable installer. You need to downgrade on your current SSD to Mojave and shutdown, Open the back panel and change to the new SSD. And then open disk utility by holding options key. now it will recognise the SSD. Format it to APFS and install Mojave with the bootable installer. Setup your computer and now you can upgrade to big sur.

Useful for Upgrading storage and Very Propmt service
Had ordered adapter to upgrade Mac air early 2015 with a 1tb Samsung 980 SSD. Initially was unable to get the SSD to read and thus contacted the manufacturer and received a very prompt and courteous help even a late hour.It is imperative to follow the following steps.1. Upgrade Mac to latest os (upgraded to Montrey)2. Create Bootable disk with the latest Mac os3. Mount the SSD to the adapter and replace the Mac SSD.4. Start the pc in boot mode (option+power button).5. Click on boot drive and go to disk utilities6. There select the SSD and format it to APFS format.7. Install Mac os from your boot drive8. (Optional) retrieved data using time machine

Bad product
Doesn't fit with Macbook Air 2017, also doesn't detect. Faulty product, that is why there is no return available.
