Lucid Grip for longboards and shortboards

Awesome product if used right. We ended up needing to do two coats, but only because we put it on too lightly the first time. My son painted a really cool pic on the deck of his board and we put the lucid grip over that...it worked so perfect!!

I was worried about this product as reviews seemed mixed. I watched as many youtube videos on this product before I decided to purchase. I bought a used Sector 9 bamboo board that had black grip tape that was put on very poorly. I love the look of the bamboo boards so I wanted to remove the black grip tape and either use this product or clear grip tape. I decided to go with this and I am very happy I did. After my first run after applying this stuff my board is functional and looks great. I am just a casual carver and for me it works great. Lucid Grip has other types of grip (medium & heavy) but I guess that's for doing sliding and more intense skating. Another thing I was worried about was the product coming off. So far it hasn't came off at all, but if it does the good news is that I have plenty leftover if anything needs to be redone.

Hello INTERNET! So I just got around to using this; but, the spray bottle never sprayed anything out. Therefore, I don’t know if it works. Here’s a video of the first step not working. I’d give this a Zero (0) Stars if I could.

The product is great and looked great on my board, but i had to put the glue in another squirt bottle because the one it came with didn't work. i would have given it 5 stars if the bottle worked.

This product looked good because of how easy it looked to put on. When I did it, it was easy and fun but I had to put alot of layers on for it to be enough, which required tons of time waiting for it to dry. Then, when I rode it for the first time I loved it. But later on, it started to wear off. Wear my feet go on the longboard, there is currently no grip at all. It is not very strong. And also, it collects dirt so it changes the board color to a more dirty look. I dont think I should try to scrape the grip off to put some real grip on, so I might just have to buy a whole new deck.

This product works exactly as described. I painted my longboard and applied this over the paint. Initially I was worried because the acrylic paint I had used was soft and could be scratched off. This coating actually acted as a sort of hardener for the paint I was using and now the entire coating is rock hard and very grippy! Highly recommended.

Great product! Super easy to apply and remarkably durable. Been almost a year and I've never had to re-apply.

It did what I wanted it to do, but the sprayer on the bottle needs improvement. There were a few "thicker sprays" that kind of formed blobs on the deck. Overall the product did the job. Just use caution when spraying.
