Works on Mercury
I have an early 2000s Mercury 15HP 4 stroke fit really nice and snug. Not as cheap as people we're saying in other reviews. My tank has a 5/16 hose but got it to fit. I just stretched the hose with some needle nose pliers. I would recommend for the price.

JUNK did not fit right, junk leaked gas, fire hazard
junk leaked gas , did not fit right , and spring not strong enough to push the pin in on the oem evinrude fitting enough to let enough gas through to keep motor running right, save your money,

Works on my mercury 6hp 4 stroke
worked for my mercury 6hp 4hp outboard. The attachment works, but is not 100% secure. Comes loose occasionally. Keep an eye on it. It was cheap and did the job.

Doesn't fit!
After making inquiries with the supplier, I was disappointed when this did not fit my 15hp Mercury outboard. It is hard to tell what year my motor is, a 1997 or 1998, as both years are on the motor label, so I am assuming it is a 1997. At any rate this connector does not fit this motor. The part itself looks to be of good quality.
