not for the mechanically uninclined
The assembly is not difficult, however the instructions are sparse - you have to go by illustrations - no text...it's not rocket science, but I would never expect half of the people to figure it out or to enjoy the assembly...probably too difficult for some...but not for most who are mechanically inclined or who like puzzles.

It was my Christmas present
We haven't assembled it yet because of the weather. I'll use it in my yard this coming Spring.

WIFE LOVES IT!!!
This was birthday gift for wife. she chose the color gray. it would not have been my first choice, but it's her birthday.I would definitely recommend buying better hardware the factory screws and nuts stripped threads too easy. I also used flat washers on both sides. I believe it helped strengthen assembly points. there was no flex or rattle when complete

Buy Better Anchor Stakes
This was bought in December 2022 as a gift. I put it together for them this spring. It was not too hard to assemble. It was light enough to carry easily to where they wanted it in the yard after, this is a downfall...The wind will easily blow it over, the stakes are short and weak. The whole thing is flimsy and will NOT handle being blown over. It will bend, and even if you can bend ot back - the metal will be too weak to support it. I have tried to BUY replacement parts... for both windmills. (I got them a second one after putting this one up, they loved it so much I got them a blue one as well - from the same company... another mistake..)Customer serivce asked for photos, order numbers, which parts- as if they were going to help me and sell me the parts I needed.(I staked the windmills down better while this goes on.) Only to them tell me it will be over six month to get spare parts, but they will sell me ANOTHER Whole wndmill with $20 off as the ones I have bought, have been outside "a long time"I have my Grandfather's old windmill, it is over 20 years old. So no, seven months or less - should not be considered a long time, by someone who is trying to sell outdoor items. Tells you how long they believe their own items will survive outdoors. This is why I wait to do some reviews. To see how an item holds up before reviewing. It's cheap. If you accept that and stake down with better stakes and expect poor REAL customer service- have at it.I was thinking about buying these for gifts for others and a neighbor had wanted to buy one as well, because of the price and how easy they were to put together. I will be seeking a different source now.I would do a review for each, but amazon thinks only one should be allowed. The blue one is about Five months old, and has rust in all the crevices on top of the damage from being blown over. So maybe the seller is right assuming this is a "long time" for these to survive.

Reviewers are correct- instructions to assemble are horrible
While the windmill looks good once assembled, the process of putting it together is a royal pain. The instructions are next to worthless and none of the parts are labeled. Didn't need to be as time consuming and a hassle if manufacturer did a better job on the instructions. You will need two people to assemble this windmill.Four stars for looks but one star for the abysmal assembly instructions and lack of labeling of the parts. Might be better options out there for purchase.

Will not hold up in moderately strong storm winds.
I've had this up no more than 6 weeks or so... I was happy with it initially when first put up. Looked nice! I live in southern lower Michigan. We've had a few moderately strong storms since and with each I've had to pick up, replace screws and repair bent wind paddles. Started with small stakes provided and by company and by 3rd try replaced with not one but two much longer and stronger stakes to no avail. A few days ago we had another rain with moderate strong winds and found it had been knocked over and damaged yet again... ugh! Time to request my money back!... I give up on this model.

Will need to replace stakes.
My wife loves it but the stakes are way to small. The 2nd day we had it the wind blew it over pulling the stakes free and bending up the blades. With a few tack welds and some fixing the bent blades all is good. Made some new stakes for it and now it holds up the Heavy Oklahoma winds.

Bought this for my Husband for Father’s Day
My husband wanted this for our backyard and I was hesitant thinking it would be to big. It’s really a great piece and adds to the beauty of our little garden area. We highly recommend it.
