Excellent chair for almost anyone
Kinsal Gaming Chair (White/Black)Rating: 5/5 starsPackaging: Very GoodPackaging is exactly as shown in product images; from looking at it, it looks like it should survive transit without a problem (at least mine did). My main complaint with the packaging is that it clearly shows its contents from the outside, so I'd recommend being home for the delivery. Nothing super impressive with the packaging, but it should definitely get the job done.Assembly: FairThere aren't many steps in assembling this chair, and instructions are given. However, my problems with the assembly lie with the instuctions. They are printed on an index card-sized paper, making it very difficult to follow, and force you to figure some of it on your own. I didn't have too much trouble assembling it; it probably took me around 15 minutes, however afterwards, I realized I put the armrests and base on backwards. That may have been due to my own stupidity, but clearer instructions definitely would've prevented this. Far from a dealbreaker, but I just thought I'd share this so that Kinsal can improve the assembly experience moving forward.Quality: GoodFrom lifting the box through my front door, it was pretty clear this chair was built solid. This is by the heaviest chair I have ever used, and the weight can probably be attributed to the steel frame shown on the product page. Even the legs are made of a heavy metal. I love how solid this chair feels; I expect this chair to last some time. After about a month of use, I am happy to say I have not had any problems. However, a couple of weeks into using it, I noticed some slight squeaking on the left hinge connecting the back of the chair to the bottom, but I easily fixed that with a quick spray of lubricant. Another odd thing I noticed is that the neutral position of the left armrest is pointed (very) slightly inward, but this does not affect the comfort of the chair in any way. Overall, I am very impressed with the quality, especially considering the value this chair offers, and I have no problems recommending it to someone looking for a long-lasting chair.Appearance: Very GoodThis is a very good looking chair, and I think it is one of the the main reasons people are interested in it. The color schemes are well designed, and I like the white/black scheme I chose. The only thing I don't like the chair's look is the stitched logo on the lumbar and neck cushions. I would like to see it redesigned in the future, perhaps in a single color, like a neutral grey, as the blue side of two-tone design is a bit hard to see (this can be seen easily in the product picture).Comfort: PerfectThis chair is extremely adjustable. It offers a locking tilt mechanism, height and tilt-adjustable armrests, it reclines completely to 180 degrees, as shown in the product images, pneumatic height adjustment, as well as lumbar and head/neck pillows that can be adjusted up and down, or removed completely, all of which work wonderfully. All adjusting mechanisms feel very solid when I use them, whether reclining to watch a movie, or whipping my arms around for my keyboard and mouse to hit shots in Overwatch. The armrests go very low, and should work great for any fighting game players that want to use their fightstick or controller. The lumbar cushion work very well, much better than the elastic band my old chair used, and the upper cushion works well to rest my neck on, but is too firm for me to rest my head on. If you want to nap in this chair, you can comfortably, but I'd recommend an actual pillow to rest your head on. For reference, I am about 5'5" and 150 pounds. As a fairly small person, I can tell you it is great for smaller people, and there is quite a bit more room for larger people, however anyone very tall should probably ask larger owners of this chair for their experience.Despite some very minor complaints, this chair is by far the best option for this price point compared to the other chairs I considered. I can overlook any issues when weighing the value offered here ($189.99 at the time of writing this review). I'm glad I went with this chair.I hope this review was helpful. Feel free to ask me any questions.

The Good, The Not So Good And The Worst
I've had this chair approximately two weeks (as of this writing) and I really wanted to love it but instead it missed the mark on almost every front although there are a few good points.First let's look at what's good about the chair:- The castors are vinyl which makes them flow smoothly on the linoleum of my office floor; it also came with an extra castor (although I don't know if that's tragic foreshadowing or due diligence on the part of the company);- The bucket type seat is comfortable and supportive for the most part;- The leather is smooth, tight and comfortable for the most part;- The pillow back supports are a nice touch and I especially like the adjustable lower pillow (although I had to remove it because of another issue);- The framework on this chair is solid steel piping which is a major plus for a big guy like me;- The chair easily supports my full weight and even during long sitting sessions the chair is comfortable for the most part;- The headrest is at a good height although obstructed by the upper support pillow though that's easily remedied by removing the pillow if so desired;- I love the reclining feature although it was poorly implemented;- The chair's swivel is smooth and silent with no noise at all (yet). Now for the not so good:- The leather, although comfortable and well stitched, isn't designed to breathe which makes it a little less comfortable during long sitting sessions: it gets hot quickly and if there skin to leather to contact it can be quite painful to remedy (i.e., my shirt slipped up when I sat down yesterday and I didn't realize I was stuck to the chair until I went to stand up and had to peel myself off the leather which was somewhat painful);- The lower back support pillow had to be removed because it was pushing me too far forward on the seat. While it helped my lumbar, it would be a better deign to have the cushion sit recessed into the back of the chair in some manner but rather it just sits on the already protruding lumbar support which caused me to feel like I was sitting right on the edge of the seat (even though I was not).- There is no way to tilt the chair back and lock it into that position. The chair does tilt back at the seat but springs back into the upright position immediately once the sitter's tension is released. Although good for posture, the resistance to leaning back can take some painful adjustments;- There is no way to collapse the 'bucket' seat edges which squish my thighs together because they are tilted up at such a high angle (this is more of nitpick than a problem).Though not major issues, the above did knock a couple stars off the chair although it would have still gotten three stars if not for the following. Now for the main reasons I can't rate this chair higher than two stars:- The armrests on this chair are virtually useless: they are spaced too awkwardly to be used even at full height extension and there is no locking mechanism to prevent them from rotating (although the rotation is a nice feature) so even a slight lean on them causes them to rotate unexpectedly into unusable positions. The rests should either extend higher or be pulled in closer to the seat and locking mechanism needs to be added to prevent them rotating unexpectedly. I also expect them to fail quickly given how they are bolted onto the chair at such strange angles to the seat;- The back of the chair, though designed to recline, does so at such an easy pressure that it's impossible to even lean back in the chair without having the back completely collapse into the lying position. This was another reason I had to remove the bottom support pillow: scooting back against it would cause the chair back to collapse. The grip that's used to keep the back in a upright position doesn't do enough to keep the back from collapsing which is problematic because I tend to lean back in my chair to stretch but now that's thoroughly impossible without having the chair lie down on me. The grip needs either deeper teeth or teeth with a higher angle to hold the back up straight (or at a chosen angle) more solidly;- The star wheel base is off center; it's mounted toward the back of the chair so sitting on the front edge of the seat and attempting to move the chair actually can cause it to tip over forward; that happened to me twice since I've had the chair;- Due to the location of the base, the new rollerblade type replacement casters are not a good fit on this chair: they makes the chair unstable even at the lowest height adjustment. In conclusion: the chair is not all bad but the seat back issue prevents me from giving the unit more than two stars. The grip is just too loose or the teeth not deep enough and it makes the chair unusable for the most part unless I'm really, really careful how I sit. I may have to return the chair for another or altogether if the replacement has the same issue. If I do so, I'll update this review with the new results.Again, I really wanted to love this chair but it just misses the mark on too many fronts for that to happen.
