Ever since I was young I enjoyed stories from the bible. From those night where my dad would read from a small purple bible story book, to the numerous sunday mornings with my pastor telling of the many adventures of those depicted in the bible, I've found myself fascinated by the history and significance of what happened so long ago. I was thrilled to discover the "Manga Messiah" series. This particular book chronicles the history of Israel from the time the children cross the red sea to the end of the reign of king David.I'd also highly recommend the first three issues of the manga messiah series.

Bought a whole set for my kids to be interested in reading the bible, they loved it! I think they read the whole series twice already!!

Great book I love these telling of bible stories. They have the reference to the verse at the bottom of each page and full color art!

Wonderful Bible stories for teens

I bought it for the youth group at church. I wanted to give them something that might catch their attention more than traditional books. I read one of them first, it seemed to follow scripture very well.

As a Roman Catholic Seminarian I found this to be a great tool to explain the Bible to the younger generation and those who had difficulty grasping certain aspects of it! Great way to teach and understand the Bible!The references to the books and chapters where the drawings were inspired from are also very handy for going deeper. I don’t do this enough, but I strongly congratulate the Jesuits who thought of this and put it together!(Incidentally all the other volumes will receive the same rating and review)
