Best Hatch Green Chile
We love El Pinto. Fantastic New Mexican Hatch green chile. WAYYYYY better than any canned or plastic packaged chile.

Had them at El Pinto, picked up a jar to bring home, now I order them from Amazon. Our culinary world is wonderfully expanded!
Fabulously good. Proverbial "just right" spice and flavor. Never would have tried them had we not visited the El Pinto restaurant while in Albuquerque last month. Let me tell you... First we were visiting Albuquerque, so a friend from the area recommended we visit El Pinto restaurant for supper, even gave us a few menu pointers, but was quite insistent about trying their green chile on whatever we ordered -- roasted on site, BTW. We did, and loved the green chile flavor, very nice spice without being overpoweringly hot like the "authentic" chile you might get at Chipotle or such, not saying the are not authentic, but far too overpowering in heat for those of Scandinavian decent, LOL, which is why we far-northerners have shied away from cooking with them. After we ate and were leaving, I noticed a display of their various chile items for sale in the lobby, and bought a couple jars to take home, gave one to our friend as a thank you gift for the tip. Our friend was pleased we liked them so much to bring some home, she shared with us another tip: you can order those on Amazon! A few click later, and we're anxiously awaiting the first shipment as part of Subscribe and Save so we always have a jar or two on hand for topping burgers, adding to certain recipes, and general cooking that calls for a smooth, warm flavor. After all that, would we recommend buying these? Yes! If you like having roasted green chile on or in anything, and can't get them fresh, this is our recommendation for the way to go. They taste as good at home as the ones roasted fresh at the restaurant. :)

Delicious
We used to buy these in the little plastic tubs, and loved them, but were very happy to see them in the larger jars. They kept the same high level of quality and flavor, just easier to use now. We eat them in omelets, tacos, chilies and just about anything we can put then in. If you like Hatch chilies, you’ll love these!

New Mexico Tradition
Thank you Amazon! Grew up in Albuquerque and miss this authentic New Mexico brand of green chile. Brings a bit of home to us living in the Carolina’s! For non-New Mexicans… Use on Fried Eggs, Potatoes, Pinto Beans etc.

El Pinto Roasted Green Chile is happiness in a jar!
Just placed my second order for the roasted green chile from El Pinto. It's delicious, tastes like fresh-roasted and goes well with chicken, sandwiches, eggs, tacos, etc. Great ingredient to add when making turkey meatloaf. The price is excellent and shipping is free with my Prime membership. This is my go to product when the chile roasting season in New Mexico is over and I now keep several jars on hand at all times. The medium heat level is perfect and provides just the right amount of warmth. I've recommended to several friends and they've all enjoyed it.

El Pinto Green Chile, Medium
I use green chile in many, many ways and El Pinto Green Chile is the next best thing to fresh green chile. Living in a state other than New Mexico, fresh green chile with any spice heat is not available. The flavor of El Pinto Green Chile is authentic New Mexican Green Chile. It is unique to New Mexico. Everybody should try it. Ordering from El Pinto has always been a great experience and now through Amazon, I find no change at all. It is still great.

DECEPTIVE. This is NOT New Mexican chile. Imported chile.
This is NOT chile grown in the Hatch Valley or even in New Mexico. El Pinto was forced to remove "New Mexico Chile" from the label. You will not receive as pictured, the "New Mexico" was removed. Now it just says "Chile" even the description here is curious "authentic new Mexican flavor" seems there's a reason "new" isn't capitalized. This tastes nothing like grown in New Mexico chile, this is very bitter and doesn't have much flavor at all. Very different. They seem to be using chiles grown in Mexico, India and perhaps even China. Email, of call and ask them! Others like Bueno(frozen) tried imported chiles for a while, terrible as well so they switched back to only NM chile. This is sad if some think this tastes like NM green chile, it's not even close. Jarred is never ideal for green chile but the 505 brand is far superior, albeit not roasted as well.
