Decent helmet
We bought this green helmet for our 1.5 year old 3 months ago. If I remember correctly, his head size was 48.5 cm and it has fit well. Since the knob in the back can adjust the tightness around the head, I expect he'll be able to use it for some time. It must be comfortable, because there were days he refused to take it off! And others he just wanted it on regardless of whether or not he was going to be on his balance bike. Even saved his forehead when he took a little tumble down the concrete patio stairs :). He has yet to test the durability by crashing, but it has held up well to toddler handling. It may look a little big on his head, but it doesn't seem heavy to him or us.My only real gripe is the pieces that go under the ears. After taking the time to adjust the straps and place those pieces under the ears as they should be, they always slide down to the buckle. Maybe not a critical deal, but they should stay put so the helmet fits correctly. Also, be aware that the straps are not secured to the helmet but can slide through it - so if your kid is like mine and wants to push his helmet completely crooked on his head, he will be able to. Perhaps all helmets are like that, but combine that with the little plastic pieces sliding down the strap and it can lead to a helmet that doesn't feel as secure as I'd like. That said, for the $17 we spent it seems to be a decent deal. Bonus is that the colors are bright so he can be more easily spotted.

Toddler approved
My toddler doesn't like to wear anything on his head for an extended period of time. He wears this no problem. It is very lightweight yet protects his head. It has a nice dial to adjust the pad against their head for a secure fit. Only downfall is he figured out where it's at and messes with it at times but typical for a 2 year old who loves dials and buckles. We really like this simple inexpensive helmet.

Holding Up from Daily Wear and Tear
My nearly 5 year old son wears this every day and has no complaints. It stays in place, and he doesn't have a super sweaty head when I take it off - so must be decently breathable. He's taken one crash on his bike where I'm really glad he was wearing it. Has held up fine!

Safe, sturdy, comfortable
Sizing up as my wild, twin grandsons grow. They are active scooter/strider boys who take tumbles & keep on going. The smaller size helmets protected them over & over and I am sure these same helmets, sized up will do the same. Nothing like the feeling that your toddlers are safe.
