Q: How sturdy is the handle when cutting wood

Very sturdy. Only issue: the light green part is the blade lock. It’s in a position where your thumb tends to go to apply pressure while cutting. So you inadvertently hit the lock which allows the blade to move upward

Q: Can addituonal Replacement blades be purchased? If so what kind and where?

Have not purchased additional blades yet, but i plan too. Saw did job for cutting around fence. My electric saw just jammed. Hope this answers your question
