Folded Space Root and Expansions Board Game Box Inserts

Requires assembling, but saves so much time.
The pieces don't stay together perfectly, so I recommend tape or glue to be extra secure when handling them over and over. Saves so much time. No baggies anymore, and each player can clean up after themselves now.Best of all, everything is in one box and all boards fit in a different box (up to 2 bonus expansions at a time, I have the Riverfolk and Underworld expansions currently)

Can't Store the Boards in the Box, but is otherwise great
PROS- Lightweight sturdy foam instead of heavy, splintering wood (if you've purchased other board game inserts you know what I mean)- Easy assembly- Fits everything nicely- Trays are all removable, so each player can have a tray of their factions tokens next to themCONS- The boards won't fit in the box with the inserts, you need to keep an expansion box to store boards- Requires some glue to keep the foam together (where wood inserts often don't require it)Overall I'm very satisfied, and for Root I don't think the boards were a deal breaker. Would've been nice to add it to the item description though, but I don't know how you could make inserts that also hold ALL the boards for expansions anyhow.

Easy to assemble and fits things nicely
We have the base game and the Maradur's Expansion, plus the landmarks and partizan deck. This seems to fit everything nicely into the main box (including the hirelings)

Perfect if you have all the expansions
These all fit the pieces perfectly (once you figure out which direction to put pieces in) and they all fit together perfectly. I think the instructions were very clear and they were fun to put together. I used clear elmers glue on some and tacky glue on others. Both worked good and have held together without problems. Will definitely look into buying some for other games

Check first
After making the inserts I realized the packet was for Empires of North expansions not for root. I got the FS-IMPv2 insert.

you need glue
although the description indicates you need glue, i overlooked that information and probably would have ignored it anyway. but.... you really need glue!! the pieces won't stay together unless you glue them. if you try to pick up one of the assembled containers, you'll end up pulling just the side piece. the rest of the organizer will detach. again, glue is definitely necessary. i personally think this is a waste of money and far too much effort is needed. as another reviewer said, the boards won't fit in the box with these organizers, so you've got to keep an expansion pack box for the boards. if you prefer keeping expansion pieces, cards, and boards together, then this organizer set isn't for you. if you want to downsize all of the expansion packs plus the original game into 2 boxes AND YOU DON"T MIND GLUING LOTS OF PIECES TOGETHER, then you might be interested in this.

Boxes
Takes time to put together and allow glue to dry. store in a large shoe box type container.

It just works
This does exactly what you would think it does. PVA (not included) worked quite well as a glue for me and has held up over numerous play sessions. The major reason to get this is to save time on the setup. Rather than having to hand out several discrete objects to players, you hand them a bin and they are set to go with everything they need for their faction. Worth it if you play a lot of Root and own more than an expansion or two.
