Can't be linked to the App!

Can't get enough
Download the free ACT app to your smartphone, put the tracker on your wrist and off you go.The tracker has a button that illuminates a blue, red or amber light. The blue tracks your sleep, the amber tracks activity and the red syncs the tracker and app.Press the button until the desired light illuminates and hold 3 seconds. When the light blinks 5 times, the function is active. Press again and hold until the light is solid, and the function stops.Practice makes perfect.Sync with your app by holding the red light until it starts blinking. Go to the app and sync. For better accuracy, you can calibrate your step length. (Hint: get a yardstick, get your shoes wet, use your hiking stride for a few steps on dry surface, and use the yardstick, measuring from the heels of each foot. Most strides would be in the range of 2.2 to 2.3 feet. Multiply by 100, enter in your app's calibration, save it and get going.)It's a nice device. But beware. You're gonna move.

Disappointing, would not recommend
I bought this thinking I could use it with my Proform 520E elliptical since it is compatible with iFit. Unfortunately, the iFit module and a subscription to the iFit app program is required to use it that way, which costs $99/year.As for this fitness tracker specifically, it's not great. For one thing, it arrived with only 45% battery remaining and it's not rechargeable. The directions for syncing are hard to follow, I had to spend a couple hours messing with the device, the app, and reading and re-reading the owner's manual online before I finally understood what it meant and got it to sync. The free app is simple and I don't care for the design.Overall, I do not recommend the iFit ACT. Invest something like the UP by Jawbone or the FitBit.

Great deal
Love it! It was a little hard to set up, but as soon as I found the instructions, it was fine!Battery is inexpensive and easy to change, great for what I needed it for!

This could've been better
UPDATE INFO 6/20/17So this is my updated info: So far its still recording my sleep, workouts and steps. BUT.....if you don’t properly sync it then it will not record anything. I sync by pressing the button until i see the red light then i hold down on it for it to sync. The red light will start to blink. Also the “Dashboard" screen on your app will mention if it synced. If it didn’t sync you will get a message indicating that your device didn’t sync so you have to try again by holding the button when on the red light only. This is better than most of those $30-40 active bands that just cease to work after a week. Soooooo.... updated this to 3 stars because at least its consistent.1. This is a downgrade version of any tracking band I've ever had. It's not really users friendly and the syncing can come off as confusing if you aren't a tech geek.2. I downloaded the app from the App Store and made my account and it took 6 mins before I managed to pair this damn thing with my iPhone 6s.3. Ifit coach app wants you to pay for a $14 month subscription, so just avoid that. There's plenty of free apps to track your workout.4. I hate that you have to synch just to see your step progress. Also it CAN'T pair with MyFitnessPal app.5. Now it does record your sleep but make sure you set it. (I think) don't worry a message will pop up on your iPhone to inform you how to syncIt's only $20 so I don't feel bad!6. The wrist band is pretty ok

Don't buy this!
I got this as a Father's Day gift and it's terrible! I have yet to been able to link it to my IPhone after an hour of trying. I went on line to check out videos on Youtube and I'm not the only one that has problems with it. Plus you got to be a membership for $99 year to get the full use of it. I'm having my son take it back for a refund.
