Its a 6.6 oz bowl, not 4 oz. If you fill it past the line it may be 8 oz.

Q: What are the dimensions of the bowls?

4 inches. I used them as fruit bowls for mother's day when I served a crowd. They were perfect for that and yogurt.

Yes! No problems with melted butter. We use these little bowls for EVERYTHING. Most used dishes in the house.
