Q: Is this still sparkly, or has the formula changed?

I personally do not find this sparkly whatsoever. My fav powder

Q: is this the same kind of powder as a translucent or pressed powder in a compact? thanks.

It has the same feel and texture as pressed powder in a compact, but it is a foundation. It gives good coverage. Use it lightly because a little, goes a long way. It is easy to use too much. I've been using it for over 2 years. I prefer it much more, than liquid makeup. :)
