Grill Light for Green Egg - A Heat Resistant Silicone Covered LED Light That Wraps Around The BGE Handle and Illuminates Your Grilling Area (Green)

We bought this light for our Vision grill. At this time, I have only used the light once. It was easy to put together and connect to the grill handle (it looked small, but it was a good fit around the handle). I was concerned about how it would close since there is a "shock absorb" piece between the grill and handle; however once it was on and set to point at the grill I had no problems. Works good, hopefully will last. We plan to remove and being inside after each use to avoid weather aging!

Works well, very easy to place on the egg and focused light on the cooking surface.

I had high hopes for this light, but design is poor and functionality is not much better. The silicon cover isn't difficult to remove, but mine came with a slit/tear in it. I'm sure after a few battery changes the cover would tear. I won't make it that long to find out though, I left it out during a light rain the enclosure is now filled with moisture. The light will still come on, but the button doesn't work to turn it off. I should have removed it prior to the rain, but I'm sure others out there might make the same mistake. Lastly, the light is very concentrated as more of a spot light. I have a BGE XL and the light has to manually moved around to see everything on the grill.

Worked OK while it worked - the switch was a little finicky. I have an XL egg and it didn't illuminate quite enough space, but it got the job done - until it died in less than a year (I'm just getting around to reviewing it now because I'm just now replacing it - with a different product).

The light worked great at first, I left it on my green egg, which always has a cover, and apparently moisture got into the light somehow. This moisture corroded the insides of the light and now it barely emits any light. It’s a shame I spent $25 on a light I only got to use a few times. They should probably work on sealing the light better. Will not buy again, do not enjoy products that fail.Update: I may have had a bad battery. The light still isn’t as strong as it was originally but sufficient. Still should be seated better

Pound-for-pound, this is the best Big Green Egg light on the market. It is cleverly designed to fit the BGE handle perfectly, and to light up the inside of the grill (sufficiently brightly, I may add) to view the food at night when the top is lifted. Very easy to install and operate (note, opening the battery compartment requires a small Phillip's head screw driver).Considering its mostly-silicone exterior, together with the battery compartment being screwed in place, its seems to be (at the very least) water resistant. In any event, the cover I put over my BGE also covers the handle and the light attached thereto, and as such I leave my light on the handle without any worries of weather causing it to break.Also, the light is very heat resistant, as I've had my BGE at 700+ degrees and have had it over the fire for a long while (it got a bit hot, but that's about it).

Works exactly as advertised and as hoped. Lights up the cooking surface perfectly!
