An excellent addition to the 'Fasting' Library.
I will start by saying that I have been Intermittent Fasting for some time, initially with the 5:2 plan and then following the refinements in the Fast 800. This approach to eating has quite simply changed my life.'The Fast 800 Easy' starts with an introduction by Dr Michael Mosley and then moves into a brief overview of the concept. Then come the recipes. A really tempting assortment of meals, 'light bites' and even a few treats. At the back of the book is a Fast 800 Tool Kit - hints and tips for making the pan work for you. Also included are some sample meal plans. My book arrived today, and I am already planning on making the Courgette Soup (it includes coconut milk and some spicy ginger)...the apple 'blinis' (I'm already an aficionado of courgette 'canapes') ....Chicken Katsu Curry (who doesn't love a curry!!!)..the Chickpea Patties...and then there is the fascinating sounding Chocolate and Black Bean Torte (which serves 12 but is thankfully freezable!!)Beautifully illustrated with photographs throughout, this book is packed with inspiration.

Glad I bought it
Yes, it is similar to the last book, but none the worse for that. We have been following this diet and way of eating for 6 months now, and we found the first Fast 800 recipe book invaluable, but we were ready for something new, and a few tweaks to the old. And that is just what this is. We actually found the first book fairly fast and easy, so that wasn’t the draw, just a few new flavours and different types of food is exactly what we need to keep us on track. I reached target in 3 months, and my husband has a little further to go, but with this variety, we know we will get there.

Well worth the wait!
My book arrived last night and today, being time-poor and disorganised, I cooked the store-cupboard bean soup for a late lunch. Dead easy, 20 minutes to cook and totally delish! There is a language shift in this book from low carb to 'moderately' low carb, and greater use of regular (pre-prepared) ingredients you would typically have in your cupboard or freezer. Having skimmed through (more thorough scrutiny this weekend!), I can see so many recipes I know I'll love, and nice variations on some of my favourite recipes from the original Fast 800 recipe book. Every recipe I've made from the Fast 800 books has been fantastic, so much so that I'm seriously considering donating my other increasingly superfluous cook books to charity! You won't be disappointed.

A couple of good ideas..
I like this eating plan a great deal and so ordered the book for some inspiration. I wanted some ideas to keep things a bit fresh but there isn't much that is new in this book. It is 'quick and easy' - which is the idea - yet it leans more towards assembling ingredients than an inspirational cookery book. I like that it gives protein and carbs and cals etc. Good photography. Good recap on the diet. The recipe I liked most was the crunchy rainbow salad with cashews and ginger. It made my mouth water. However, other receipes were a bit ordinary. For example - using a dollop of black bean sause and add some veg and stir fry it - is what I wanted a cookery book to move me away from.

Waste of money
Very disappointed in this book.I have the fast 800 recipe book which works for weight loss & some really nice recipes. This book said there were 130 new recipes. Load of rubbish! It’s the same recipes as the original book bar a few. Don’t bother wasting money on the new book.Only buy one or the other
