Kara Instant Coconut Cream Powder 250g

Just tried this for the first time. I made a Lamb Rogan Josh, the recipe called for cashew paste and yogurt to be stirred in at the end. I hate Cashews and didn't have any yogurt. So, I replaced both with 3 heaped tablespoons of this mixed in hot water to make a thick-ish paste and added to my curry sauce right at the end. Oh my, it was delicious, the curry was outstanding, the heat and flavour of the curry was already great, but this coconut cream paste added a sort of mellowness I can't really describe and it didn't destroy the authenticity of the curry at all. (I used 'The Curry Guy' recipe from his book 'The Curry Bible' btw). It made such a delicious addition to this curry that I'm sorry I only bought 1 pack of 250gms. I'll definitely be back to buy some more 'cos I can see the one I bought won't last long that's for sure. Thoroughly recommend this product, next time I make a veggie soup I'll be adding some of this too.

I can't buy this anywhere off-line so delighted to find this online. Stuff great - I use it for a silky and delicious coconut custard but will find other uses I'm sure.

I do love the product but I’ve never managed to produce much beyond a watery mixture. I’ll keep trying though

It is totally my fault for not reading the ingredients but assumed as it’s coconut milkThen it would be ok , but after having 2 coffees using it my tummy was really bad and I felt awful so I looked at the ingredients and low n behold it contains milk protein . So straight in the bin it went , but it did taste really nice

Did not like consistency, was like wallpaper paste, did not like taste, nothing like coconut. Would not buy again.
