I have always loved Gardena products . It is falsely advertised . The picture on the box , is not what you receive. There is a part that fits the timer onto tap , that does not come with . I have been unable to buy this part . So timer is a waste of time

Il arrose loin, précisément, et sans gaspillage. Même les zones les plus difficiles à atteindre de mon terrain reçoivent enfin leur dose d’eau sans que j’aie à me battre avec le boyau. Les réglages sont simples mais complets. On peut facilement ajuster la direction, l’amplitude et la zone à couvrir. En quelques secondes, c’est programmé, et ça fonctionne. Pas besoin d’avoir un doctorat en irrigation. Petit détail à savoir : au premier démarrage, soyez prêt à courir un peu si vous n’avez pas bien orienté l’appareil. Mais une fois bien positionné, il reste stable et fiable. En résumé, un excellent arroseur pour ceux qui veulent un gazon verdoyant sans y passer la journée. Solide, précis, et même un peu stylé. Je recommande.

One of the best oscillating sprinklers I've ever had! This sprinkler is so easy to adjust - both width of coverage as well as length of pattern. It's small and easier to store than most oscillators. Such a good sprinkler, our neighbors borrow it all the time! Christmas will come, neighbors - and the one who latches on to my sprinkler for too long will be gifted with it and I will be the recipient of YOUR new sprinkler! Seriously, this is a great sprinkler - I wouldn't wan to use any other!

[Update 3] Still one-star. The experience is getting worse. I was trying to get support and happened to notice that the timer in the picture is NOT the one they sent, which is maybe why it broke? Amazon has links for product support that lead to a 404 because Gardena has changed their websites or something. I went looking for my own way to get warranty support on their website and they require a product number. They have a link to look up product numbers that goes to ANOTHER BRAND WEBSITE where you cannot find the product number. Their support is non-existent, verging on sadistic. Every turn of the way I find myself more disappointed and frustrated. [Update 2] Now that it is outside of the return period, it has become fully defective. The timer regularly fails to run so that I have discovered the sprinkler having run for hours or at one point days on end in one spot. I have probably spent more on wasted water already then the sprinkler itself costed. What is the point of automation if it consistently fails? I have to set reminders to go out and check on it to make sure it does what I expect so I might as well just go spray the lawn myself or use an old fashioned sprinkler. For something this expensive and fancy I would expect it to last more than a month or two. I was very excited when I first set it up but it just doesn't perform as expected. [Update 1] I discovered the sprinkler had stopped oscillating and was just spraying one direction. At first I thought it was broken but after messing with it a bit, it started oscillating again. I hope this does not become a regular issue. Deducted one of five stars. [Update 2] I did get excited and buy their hose and some other garden sprayers. It's neat how they can be interchanged with such speed and ease, but I'm baffled that none of this came with an attachment to make the timer interchangeable with the nozzles the way the sprinkler itself is. You have to unscrew the sprayer attachment to screw in the timer and visa versa. Worse yet: I bought their hose and the timer WILL NOT WORK with their hose. I just ordered another pack of adapters so we'll see if one of them does the trick, but I don't think I should have to order additional adapters to make their own timer work with their own hose. Even after all this, I really like these tools, so I'm only docking one star. They're a pleasure to use when they work, but it's surprisingly complicated to figure out and set up if you want to do more than the bare minimum, and you end up having to buy into a whole ecosystem to just get one sprinkler to work for you. [Original Review] I don't usually write a review when I've barely used a thing but even just while unboxing it, I was giddy. I guess I put a lot of time and effort into watering and, having been through a lot of highly rated sprinklers that do get the job done, this was just a pleasure to set up for the first time. It so easily snaps together and comes with a quick shut-swap attachment that cuts the water flow when you remove the hose. This is so convenient to use that it makes me want to buy more sprinklers just so I can swap the hose between them with delight and glee. It also comes with a shut-off timer which will ease my growing anxiety around starting the sprinkler while working from home. I tend to get caught up in what I'm doing. I even set timers then shut them off thinking "I just need to finish this one line of code then I'll go move the sprinkler" then hours later I realize that I just wasted $6 of water and stripped my soil of nutrients. Everything is so modular. Other companies might avoid such modularity, so you have to buy more stuff, but this just makes me want to buy stuff I don't need. Since I can use the base with other sprinkler heads and use the timer and quick-release shutoff valve on other bases, I feel like I need another base and some more sprinkler heads to switch around. I'm so happy some entrepreneur out there decided to put the same level of engineering and design skill to work on consumer-grade sprinklers that other companies put into helicopters and laptops. I never thought I would unbox a sprinkler with enthusiasm to rival my usual electronic gadgets.
