Q: FDA silicone gaskets ???? these sure look like rubber to me .. not silicone.... what did you buyers get?

I'm inclined to think they are rubber. They have a smell. I compared them to another item I have that is silicone and they have sort of a 'grain' to them whereas the silicone item is smooth and uniform, sort of homogenous looking. They seem to work well though.

Q: As of early 2020, are people receiving rubber gaskets or silicone ones? Pic shows rubber, description says silicone, reviews showing both.

I purchased mine before 2020. The ones I received were red rubber washers. The same ones that fit the glass olive oil and juice bottles. They are exact replacements.

Q: Will these fit 40+ year old Grolsch bottles with porcelain swing top caps?

My bottles are Brauer beer from Germany from the same era. These gaskets work just fine on both 1 liter bottles and .33 of a liter.

Q: What is the outside diameter and inside diameter of the gasket?

The outside of the gasket is 1 inch in diameter. The inside of the gasket is 7/16. They are stretchy, so it would be OK if the inside is a little tight. I like them.
