Nutritious and Delicious Einkorn Berries – A New Favorite!
These Einkorn Berries are absolutely delicious! As someone new to Einkorn, I wasn’t sure if I would like it, but I wanted to try it for the health benefits—and I’m so glad I did! So far, I’ve cooked them with oatmeal and raisins, which made for a more nutritious and satisfying breakfast that kept me full longer. I also ground them into flour to make banana muffins, and they turned out even better than when using all-purpose flour. I’m thoroughly impressed and will definitely be purchasing these again!

Great Seller who cares about their product
I wrote a review for Jovial Foods Organic Einkorn wheat berries. It is wonderful wheat. I said that in my first review but I complained about the price being so high. I've done more research now and if you buy 10 lbs. of Jovial Einkorn which I just did this morning, you will pay $25.99 with free shipping. That could be just the price today. But that works out to $2.60 per lb. This wheat is excellent. I doubt you can beat the current price. It's worth buying 10 lbs. at a time. It is delicious. I have been grinding wheat and making bread since the early 1980's. This einkorn wheat preforms differently. It is a much wetter dough. It doesn't require kneading, though it does require rising time. There is a learning curve to getting it just right. I've only made 2 loaves so far. The bread was amazing but the top of each loaf rose and dropped and was very crusty on top. I'll have to research why that's happening but the bread is very delicious. I will definitely continue buying from Jovial. It is a great seller and an excellent product. I have their Einkorn Cookbook. I just got it. It has some good recipes in it. I used the recipe on the l lb. box for each of the loaves I made. I need to try some of the recipes in the book

I went searching for some and was happy to find this option from Jovial
In an effort to clean up my family's diet, I started researching the history of wheat. The idea of the einkorn wheat berry was really intriguing. I went searching for some and was happy to find this option from Jovial.I received a nice 16 oz box of whole wheat berries. It's nice that there was a little bit of info and history about the berries on the box along with several recipes to use the wheat berries both whole and in the ground form. I was able to pour the entire box of wheat berries into our high powered blender and it easily turned it into a fine flour. The box conveniently makes enough for the whole wheat bread recipe on the box. The recipe, by the way, made a great loaf of bread. Nice crumb, good flavor, and freshly ground flour really does make a big difference. I'd like to try some of the other recipes on the box and the berries in their whole form as well.I will definitely purchase this again, but it is quite pricey for just enough wheat berries to make a single loaf of bread. It will be a special occasion purchase, for that reason.

Great Flour, very high price
Loses a star for it's high price. It's nice flour, but gosh, expensive. I've gone to milling my own. I put part Einkorn flour in all my sourdough bread recipes and love the taste and color it imparts. Be sure to get the Einkorn baking book - it doesn't behave like regular all-purpose flour. You need to learn a few new tricks.

Fresh
Great for making German Vollkornbrot bread. Came fresh but a little pricey.

Thoroughly disappointed
I bought these Einkorn wheat berries for sprouting. I have years of experience at sprouting, and wheat is notoriously easy. These berries would not sprout at all. As a matter of fact, when they absorbed water bits of starch seeped from little cracks on the kernels. This indicates that they kernels had been cracked so that the berries would not sprout and be used for replanting. After continuing to wait a few days, the wheat berries rotted and began to smell. The fenugreek and mung seeds I started sprouting at the same time are perfect. The date on the einkorn wheat box is 2016.A word to Jovial and to readers. When you buy GMO, you are actually only buying the right to the consume the product. You have no ownership over the seed unless expressly purchased. In the case of this non-GMO hereditary product, you do actually gain ownership over the seeds and the ability to plant them. Jovial - you do not have the right to destroy the seed by crushing in order to prevent me from growing this wheat. you do not possess the right to stop future generations of this wheat, nor the right to prevent me from consuming it in the form that i'd like - namely, as sprouts. Vita-spelt does the same thing to its whole spelt kernels, and both companies ought to be ashamed. You are benefiting from millennia of hardworking farmers who preserved these seeds from antiquity, and the mere fact that you now selling it does not give you exclusive rights over the reproduction of those seeds. That credit belongs to the farmers who had the foresight to preserve and protect ancient seed varieties. As far as this $9.00 box it is useless. I cannot use these lifeless kernels for sprouts and now they are good only as chicken feed.

Great staple
I am allergic to all grains except wheat. GMO wheat is common now, and is causing sensitivities. I didn't want to lose the only grain I can eat, so I went to Einkorn. This stuff is great. I cook a half package at a time... one part grain, two parts water. Bring to boil and then low simmer for an hour. Keep an eye so it does not scorch on pot bottom. (Cooks like dried rice.) After it is done and cools down, I pack in a zip-lock plastic food bag, flatten, and freeze. I can break off pieces anytime and microwave (~40 sec.) to have a quick serving. Nice with nuts, fruit, coconut milk, or butter and salt. I have used it in tabouli. Really nice nutty taste and texture. Love it.
