I bought a Swedish coffee maker for my husband years ago. He now loves his coffee, and has to have it every morning.We have had to buy three or four of these things as they break on a bet. There is no warning, the stem just breaks. I know that the design means that the stem is the most fragile part of the whole thing, but it is a bother to replace.I do think that the price needs to drop based on the fact that the top glass is so easily broken. Or, perhaps, offer a set of two for a lesser price than if purchased individually.Anywho- in order for my husband to make the coffee he so deeply loves, he needs the top glass. I keep getting them as they break, but as far as that goes, if it makes coffee that my husband enjoys, I'll keep buying.

A crack developed in the siphon tube of my Yama 20oz coffee maker (which was a couple of years old), so I ordered this replacement. The glass bowl shattered the first time I used it. I got a refund and ordered another. It broke within a week when I was stirring the brew after it had risen into the top. I barely touched the glass with the spoon. The glass seems to be incredibly fragile now. I love the the 5-cup Yama pot, but I'm not going to bother with another one, as the top bowl will likely break within a week. I've gone back to my 8-cup Yama pot, which is over 5 years old but still going strong and not fragile at all.

My kids prepare our breakfast every morning but since they don’t pay attention what they do these glass coffee makers break. Most of the time the top item. It is great to be able to purchase either bottom or top in order to reuse what you got. Excellent quality and arrived not broken which was a plus for me!👏5⭐️ Highly recommend ⭐️❤️

Perfect replacement for the one I broke. Obviously, if you want a full vacuum/siphon coffee maker, buy the complete Yama 8-cup maker. But if you're stupid, as I am, and break the top part, get this! (Hint: Instead of using the Yama cloth filters or the stainless steel replacement filter assembly, go find a Cory glass filter rod. Makes great coffee and easier to clean.)

I have used Yama to brew coffee for 5 plus years. And I broke a few. This one I just received somehow feels thicker and sturdier than the ones I had from Yama. Function-wise, no difference, so kudos to Yama.

I accidentally broke the top half of my 5-cup Yama siphon coffee maker when it toppled over while reaching for my coffee beans, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that I could buy just the top half and not an entire coffee maker again.For those unaware, this is JUST the top half. No lid/stand, no filter, no measuring spoon, no bottom half. It comes with the rubber gasket, which is nice, because now I have a spare in case the old one gets beat up and old!

I’ve bought two of these and both have broken super easily. Knocked it over onto a towel on the counter twice and both times it’s shattered. Made really great coffee until it just didn’t. So 1 star because I’ve given it two chances and both times have ended up wasting my money.
