Use the screws!
This is exactly what I needed to store my brooms and mops in my entry closet. They are up off the floor and take minimal space against the back wall. The holders have sturdy rubber enclosures and you really have to push to get them to snap into the holder which is great because they are not falling out. The adhesive strip is VERY STRONG so make sure you have it properly placed before you stick it to the wall. There is NO WAY, however, the adhesive alone will be sufficient and it will probably take some of the wallboard if it comes down. I used the screws and the wall anchors. I could hang bowling balls on that thing! :)

Clamps too small
I tried to use this utility holder for household items like mops and brooms, but the clamps were too small and stiff to fit a broomstick.

Nice Quality - but the clasps are too tight/too small to clasp most of the items I wanted it for.
Installed with the adhesive AND the screws for extra strength in the garage - very sturdy and holding up well. Looks great, BUT the clasps are sooooo tight and small that either I have to heave my body against the broom to get it into the clasps OR they are just too small for many of the items I wanted it for. (regular broom, ice chopper, garden shovels all did not fit into the claps)

Too sturdy
Very well made and sturdy. But too stiff. Have to really push hard to put a bottom handle in. Had to install on a wall we didn't care if it got damaged because of how hard you have to push. Would be good for an outside wall
