If you don't ever use rivets in your work, you might want to take at close look at how you are doing things. It you need to connect things that you do not want to e able to easily come apart, rivets are an inexpensive and easy to install option. Rivets come in many lengths and diameters. This riveter comes with the necessary mandrels to work with many sizes of rivets. If you ever need to remove rivets, it is simple to drill them out. You don't have to do anything difficult, like cut welds for instance.This is a substantial tool. It has some weight to it. It is solid. It works great. The long handles afford great leverage. The mandrels are well made. I don't think you are ever going to wear this tool out. Or break it. Just don't lend it out. You probably won't get it back. It's that nice.

Should have bought this years ago, so many projects made so simple to do.

This worked well for a project to set 6 rivnuts. I needed the smaller 10-24 nuts, which many other kits don't include. That size may be a bit small for a tool of this size, as the die bent after a few nuts. I would expect proper tool steel to break before it bends. I was working on a vehicle interior so space was at a premium. The seller was kind enough to send a new die. I do wish there was a storage case included - between the tool and all the different size dies and rivnuts there are a lot of parts to keep together.

The good:Tool is decent quality and worked very well installing rivet nuts in my motorcycle exhaust. The tool come with the most common size madrels which are in individual marked containers.The tool is pretty easy to use and made short work of installing the rivet nuts.The bad:No writen instructions on how to use the tool. You have the scan a bar code to bring up a video for this. I'm not a fan of scanning things with my phone. Took me a few minute to figure out how the tool worked and how to change the mandrel.It does not come with a case (A good suggestion) so all the pieces will be hard to keep up with.Overall I can recommend this tool as it was reasonably priced and is decent quality.

This tool makes installing nutserts (Riv Nuts) much easier and less prone to error than simply using the "tool enclosed to install nutserts", found in many items which require the little devils. I was installing a $500 tailgate table onto a $61K vehicle and did not want to go through the usual hassles of installing the nutserts incorrectly. Previously on other projects I'd not gotten the nutsert expanded when tight against the mounting surface so I bought this tool. I also purchased a 22 gauge piece of steel from a local HW store. Several holes were drilled and a number of nutserts inserted all with success, and so it went when installed on the tailgate. Solid tool and practicing first allowed me to gauge how much pressure was enough pressure. Srongly recommended for quality and versatility as it comes with a number of dies for various size nutserts all at an affordable price.

HF doesn't sell 3/8-16 mandrel for their Doyle 10 inch tool. This one fits and works perfectly. Photo proof attached.

I bought this with some hesitance after reading the reviews, some being negative. As for me, this tool worked very well. I changed the mandrel to the 6M head and went to work. I had some questions before using and was very pleased with a fast response from the vendor to my email. I proceeded to carefully install 3 rivet nuts. After this experience I increased my speed and installed another 51 within 45 minutes. No problems, no breakdowns. I'm using it on a campervan build and plan to install 20-30 more. I had tried the "homemade" bolt, nut, and washer method prior which was physically harder, took longer and it damaged the threads on the second nut. This tool to me is worth the money.
