Get the size 8, they are cut big, especially for someone with narrow feet.

Q: Are they slip proof and water proof?

yes! i use them daily walking to/from beach all day in all types of weather. they deal with water well & dry fairly quickly. haven't slid on the wet concrete patio either 😁

I wear size 8-1/2 and I purchased size 8 in these sandals. They are plenty big enough, so I would say they run large. If I were you, I'd get 7-1/2.
