The ceiling fan over my bed died, so I needed a new one. I purchased a nice brushed nickel fan, but it was a flush mount model, and it didn't push enough air down. I decided to put that fan in our dining room and looked for a pedestal fan. I saw this one, and the price was reasonable. I ordered it on a Saturday with the understanding that it would arrive on Tuesday, but informed on Monday afternoon that it wouldn't be here until the following Saturday. Alas, it arrived on Friday.My 21 year old son works as an electrician, and he said installing this fan was a piece of cake (he took down the first replacement fan, installed this one, and then took down the old fan in the dining room and replaced it, too. All in about 1 hour).This fan: It is really, really quiet. It has a subdued, utilitarian look, and it pushes a lot of air. The remote is easy to use. Neat feature: I didn't know that it had a "home protection" feature when I bought it. When you activate it, it will randomly turn the light on for anywhere from 5 minutes to 60 minutes at random times throughout the day while you are away at work or vacation. It has a light delay feature that will turn the light off after one minute, giving you time to leave the room. It has a breeze feature, where it will randomly increase and decrease fan speed to simulate wind (probably not something I'll use).All in all, this is a great fan.

I needed a tight ceiling fit and this product allows for flush mount. Nice styling, very good installation guide and methodology and very quiet even at top speed. I installed three of them and despite each one being programmed to its remote as advertised, when installing them at different times (e.g. one on day one, a second on day two, etc.), and obviously throwing the breaker for each installation, the programming can get crossed. This happened between two of the fans, with one changing which remote it responded to and the other fan not responding to any remote. I was able to manually reprogram them, but it was tricky, hence the one star deduction for the Remote Control. In the final analysis, all three work great and just in time for several severe heat waves. What a difference a ceiling fan makes.

Looks great very quiet a bit tricky to install. The highest fan setting is not very powerful but it does the job. Overall, tho I really love it. It's a very subtle champagne color. I do wish it was compatible with smart things or a more general hub in order to make it Alexa compatible.

I purchased 3 of these. I liked the quality and build and especially the lifetime warranty. The installation was little difficult in my case because of installing on a high ceiling and the fact I had 3 of them to install.The somewhat tight space in the ceiling flange with the wiring of the 2 grounds the 5 wires for the controller and the 2 wires for power became somewhat difficult. If the ceiling flange was larger it would have be easier to work with. Everything was well packaged and intact in all 3 of my fans. There are no annoying chains hanging because every feature is handled by the remote control which gives the fan a sleek neat look.The one caveat to this is the reverse and forward direction for the change in seasons if you do that. In order to change the direction of the blades you have to get out the ladder and climb up to the top of the fan motor and physically slide a switch to to change the direction you want the blades to spin. I don't know why they didn't in corporate that one last feature into the remote. It doesn't make any sense.

This fan is really pretty. Unfortunately, the receiver and or remote are not allowing the fan or light to turn on. Finally got it to work intermittently. May need to try and get another remote from manufacturer?

So I really like this fan, it wasn't a hard install or anything (it was really heavy though, so for sure took 2 people to install) I think the noise level is appropriate for a ceiling fan (no weird noises, or loudness really) There are no strings on it though, so if you lose the remote you'll have to buy another. Alto the remote has quite a few settings, which are very handy, however they didn't label them super well on the physical remote. Obviously the fan speed buttons, and light are easy enough to understand, but at first glance half of the buttons had no meaning until I dug through the manual.

DO NOT BUY THIS FAN! I purchased this fan and had it installed by an electrician. In less than a week, the fan function stopped working (the light worked)- I tried changing the fan speed with the remote control, something sparked in the fan, the light flickered on and off, and it no longer worked (the fan). I had the electrician come out right away to take a look and he said it was a component with the fan and that I needed to call the manufactuer. I called Amazon customer support and they were very nice and as helpful as they could be. They connected me to the customer service for Prominence Home. The customer service representative was not friendly, unhelpful, and generally rude. They are going to send me another fan but I have to box up and return the one I have and now I have to pay the electrician to come out AGAIN to hang the new fan- when I mentioned this to the customer service rep she was so rude and quick to remind me that they absolutely would do nothing to take care of that (I didn't think they would but I wanted to mention it to her). At this point I think I will just return the fan to Amazon since I am still in my return window and buy a more reliable fan.

I had this installed in our kitchen area and it's perfect. I love everything about it especially the white color and the standout remote feature of simulating an off and on light when you are away from home. One minor thing I noticed was that the remote was not as unresponsive as I expected it to be. Hopefully it is just the battery which I have not replaced yet.
