Bought this to replace an original knob of a round casserole dish which gradually disintegrated over many many years of use. This metallic knob looks like it won't suffer the same problems of disintegrating over time as it's solid metal. Looks high quality and had no problems in a high temperature oven. It's expensive for what it is like all Le Creuset items but worth saving the casserole dish. I recommend this knob as a replacement as it is good quality and looks good. Fixing screw is short at about 1cm but that was perfect for the dish I had. Looks way better than the original black knob too.

I got this (the 4 cm one) as a replacement on a large cast iron lid of different brand. It fitted perfectly and works rather well even though a larger one would have been the recommended size.

Nothing to get too excited about, its a metal replacement knob. Standard size, comes with the screw so you can attach it to any of the usual cast iron Le Creuset range (pans or casserole dishes) if you need to replace or don't like the standard plastic knobs they tend to ship most things with. A bit on the pricey side for what it is (hence 4 stars and not 5) although I doubt I'll ever need to replace the metal version.

I needed this because I bought a Le Creuset oval cast iron casserole dish that was half price due to the fact it was missing the knob. It looks great and I prefer the stainless steel ones because they can cope with higher temperatures than the standard knob. However, I do think that it is very expensive for what it is.

Expensive, but good.
