The lights are pretty. They are just as you see in the photos. I wanted the purple ones but the multicolored were better for the project I was doing. I hung them in my "summer tree" in my living room.The remote is not real sensitive so you cannot be real far away or around a corner but you don't have to be right on top of it either.As far as the tangling, welcome to the world of icicle lights. There just is not a good way to pack them without them getting tangled a bit. Then these lights are smaller and have plastic butterflies on the end of each strand so that makes it even harder to untangle. If you unwrap them very carefully then follow each dangling strand to the end where the butterfly is you can then pull it through any loops it may be in. Make sure you have it spread out on your floor or a bed or else it just keeps getting tangled again. The butterflies keep hooking on the strands. Remember the dangling strands are the twisted wire. The smooth wire is your main line and you don't need to untangle that. so yes, it takes time, but that is icicle lights.The remote has an adjustment to make the lights brighter or more dim. I really did not notice much of a difference on the tree.The remote has a number for the different modes or settings for the lights. The first one looks like it toggles through them all. Number two is twinkle, etc. The remote does remember which setting you had the lights on when you turned it off so you don't have to keep resetting it. That is helpful.I am disappointed that my strand has two lights out, a light and a butterfly next to each other so I have a pretty big dark spot. I don't know that it's worth returning. That is the trouble with LEDs, you can't change the bulbs.I converted my Christmas tree into a holiday tree. I am using the lights to decorate it for a Summer Tree for fun. It has birds, flowers and butterflies and dragonflies on it. These lights were perfect for it. I might get another strand to cover the tree.I like that it is a longer strand with more lights than the others I saw. It gives the room a real nice glow and I love the butterflies.

So the light look great from what I can see. It was delivered in a huge ball of tangled mess. So if you have nothing else to do with your life for a few hours and have a lot of patience give it a go. I am still working at this nightmare only because my daughter really likes them.

This is a beautiful nightlight that I use for my daughters room. It’s a little bright but honestly it doesn’t interrupt any sleep :).

These lights are so beautiful and create a warmth feeling, best value for money. Easy to hang up and so beautiful every day to look at.

The media could not be loaded.  Bought them for my daughters canopy bed. She loves them. They are bright and work well. I’m happy with my purchase!

They stopped working after the first use. It has very bad electrical conduction at site and it won't turn on at all. Such a shame, it took me 1 hour to put them on the ceiling for it to fail me after 1 try.

These stopped working before I even had them for a month! Don't waste your money.

What a waste of time! These things come a huge tangled mess! Literally took hours to untangle. If my daughter didn’t want them so bad, I would have never taken the time. This is absolutely ridiculous!
