Q: does this work for 2 dogs?

depends on proximity of dogs. When I stop my dog from reacting to another dog both dogs look at the source of the noise. Some of my neighbors think it is cruel but most of my neighbors are appreciative of the fact that he no longer barks at bikes, golf carts, joggers, and cars. Q: Can i use this to deter other dogs from attacking me and my dog? i live in a neighborhood where loose dogs reign and its quite dangerous. thank you

It won’t stop a dangerous dog from attacking you. Here is how it works for me. Mind you, I have a toy poodle. He barks at something, I say no, sometimes he stops. When he doesn’t, I press the button on this and it immediately grabs his attention. Sometimes it takes three attention grabs for him to stop barking. It basically snaps him out of it. Glean from that information what you can. I would never send a person out into dangerous dogs with this.
