System Three MirrorCoat BarTop Epoxy Resin Coating, 1 1/2 Quart Kit

Used the System Three Mirror Coat on a red maple slab table. I followed the instructions EXACTLY and the results were fantastic. You do not need to super sand the wood, I went to 400 grit and it turned out perfect. Applied a seal coat and a finish coat. Make sure the finish coat is applied when the work is dead nuts level. This is a thick, viscous self leveling product and you want it to flow uniformly over your work. Cover the area under your work with a disposable tarp. I did not have any bubbles so no need to use a torch. Watch the You Tube video for specific techniques.

Manufacturer guidelines must be followed for product to cure properly. I had lots of small bubbles that kept forming. They are easily popped by waving a torch over them, but they kept forming for almost an hour. Overall, the finish came out great.

Had never tried this before but it worked great, used it to finish a table top that was course mosaic tile. I had to do three coats to get it thick enough to cover all of the uneven tile, normally one coat would be fine if you were starting with an even surface. Just follow the simple instructions, level the surface you are coating, mix it very well, and use a torch to gently release any air bubbles. I sanded it between the second and third coats and it was crystal clear again after the third coat. So far it has been very durable and easy to clean, if it does get scratches over time a light sanding and fresh coat would make it just like new again.

Read the directions! Don’t skip using the torch to pop the bubbles. Make sure to wipe the underneath side of your project or you will have hardened stalagtites on the bottom.

Had issues with sloped surfaces like a bar lean rail. Final result is impressive.

I put two coats a thin and a flood coat of mirror coat on my pool cue ( I make them ). I ran out of the product and opened this new one. Mixed it up and waited seven hours and the product was not drying. I followed procedures and temperature guidelines as I always have. The viscosity is very thin and didn't bubble on the last coat. Now I think I know why. The two bottles one resin and one hardener were both thin. I believe the manufacturer filled both bottles with resin. I want it replaced free of charge.

Used this on a coffe table I built. Make sure you do a good seal coat first that helps keep the bubbles down on the flood coat. I use a heat gun instead of tourch in the house to take care of the bubbles. I actually needed more epoxy then I ordered but the top turned out great looks like glass and is very clear.

Easy to apply when you follow the directions and love the results on my penny barrel table. :)
