My 7th grade daughter's school still uses mainly textbooks. We've asked her to bring them all home every night. I purchased an "extra large" backpack from one of the big name-brand companies who specialize in such items. It was not as big as I would have thought to merit the title "extra large". I sent it back. I don't usually shop on Amazon but did this time and, based off of the reviews, went with this backpack. My daughter was ecstatic. She exclaimed over all the features and, most importantly, said the padding this bag provides not only on the shoulder straps but also on the back of it was so much more comfortable for her. She didn't chafe or feel the books through the back of this particular backpack. Win! Imagine my surprise when I got a phone call from her school shortly after pick-up recently. She accidentally grabbed a classmate's backpack...it turns out this model is being used by several of her classmates! So not only have we personally been quite pleased with the ruggedness of the back and functionality, but apparently others at her school think highly of this backpack as well! I am quite pleased. Try it out; I think you will be pleased, too.

I'm a short haul trucker and must take all my personal equipment with me. This back pack stores all this and has ample room for additional items. I'm in and out of the bag on a daily if not hourly basis and still very happy with backpack. 2 high viz vest, shirt, beanie, 4 face mask, hygiene items, clipboard, notebook, 3 headlamp w/extra batteries, bluetooth headset, marker, pens, stapler, charging cords w/plug adapters, first aid, 2 safety flashers, various knifes, various clips, duct tape, flashlights, rubber mallet and other tools. Highly recommend this bag.

I was not expecting much from this bag but I can tell you it is great. It is the only bag I have found so far that hold's my 17.3 inch laptop easily. It is chalked full of great features. I know this will be heavy once I load it up and hopefully it is something my husband can handle if we are flying but it is a great travel bag for us to take all our work and tech items in when we travel, instead of lugging several bags full of stuff. It opens all the way on the sides so you can easily access your laptop and files without having to dig for them. There is literally a pocket or area for anything you can think of . I can't say enough how pleased I am with this bag. The only thing that would make this bag perfect would be for it to be able to be wheeled but I will work on that and see how I can make that happen!

I bought this backpack for my husband. On our last cruise we took I noticed a person with a pretty good size backpack they had and thought my husband really needs one like that. He has a smaller one he has been using for trips but it just didn’t hold a lot and it went across one shoulder which to me the weight on the backpack wasn’t distributed equally. He actually used it when we had to go out of town last month and he really likes it. It has so many compartments and lots of space. Very durable and I thought the price wasn’t too bad. I would recommend this backpack.

As the father of a high school sophomore, I've purchased a new backpack at least once a year for 7 years plus packs for myself for decades, I carry a backpack the way a woman carries a purse. As my son is in all-honors classes, he has huge books that must come home almost daily (many kids in regular classes can leave some in their lockers) so this has to handle some 30+ pounds of books, a laptop and gym clothing. Many others I've owned, even the big brand names would rip under the strain plus wear and tear. While it's only the3rd month, you can see it's showing no signs of coming apart and has a place for your cell, ipod and a place to feed the charging wires and earbuds, and for this price? Best value out there
