I use an oil cleanser and then follow up with this product if I have extra stuff on my face like sunscreen or makeup. It does a great job at getting rid of everything you don't want on your face.As other reviews have mentioned, you don't need much at all. I only use a tiny pea-sized amount and it foams up A LOT!The only negative for me is that my skin feels quite dry afterwards. I do follow up with a toner and moisturizer, so it's not a huge issue.
