Q: What is the country of origin? (where is it made)?

I have a clean little white square one holding a lump of butter. There is no symbol on it to indicate the country of origin. I purchased it about a year ago and the wrapper went away then.. I cannot answer the question with certainty. I expect it came from China. It is very nicer. Ralph Miller, PE. Dallas, TX

Q: Is is tall enough to hold west butter? (i don't care about length since i usually use just 3 tbsp of butter at a time)

The inside of the dome is 35 mm about 1.37795“. You can decide for yourself whether “west” butter would fit.

Q: Would the square dish hold two halves of a standard bar of butter placed side by side?

Unfortunately, the dish is not designed for even one regular stick of butter. A number of European butters are packaged in shorter/fatter sticks. They are the ones that will fit without any modifications. I found out the hard way after my dish was delivered.

Q: What are the dimensions of the rectangle dish?

The dimensions are shown in one of the pictures alongside the product description. You have to roll over picture to zoom in. You'll see the fourth picture gives pretty complete measurements of both the dish and the lid.
