Proslat 33009 Ultimate Slat Wall Bundle with Slat Wall Panels, Hook Kit, Shelf and Basket Kit, White

This wall went up great. Laid them out in the sun on the driveway to warm up and work out any bends before putting them up in the workshop. I used their hardware without difficulties. We were putting it on a non-square wall with outlets and light switches and the slats were easy to cut with an oscillating tool. Worked out so great, we got a second set for the boat house.

We are so disappointed in this system because it is advertised to be a bundle but you only receive 8x4 section of the wall and no accessories. After much wait we received enough to build an advertised wall that we paid for but it came with broken trim. We never received advertised bundle accessories (3 shelves, 2 baskets and hooks pictured).Amazon doesn’t have their ducks in a row on this one.

Since these are plastic, and thin plastic, they bend. That's the first think you should know. Heat + Plastic + Bending = Permanent bends. During transport, they can be exposed to weird temps. Including heat. For me these came out of the box slightly bent and off in small ways. This means when I would install, they wouldn't click together properly. In addition once installed they still had waves and gaps between the cleats and the sides. The corners of my sides also came damaged. The plastic faces of the cleats also didn't come with any protective plastic - So ofc they were scratched to hell and back.So, To install these properly. Learn from my mistakes, so you don't have a wall that looks good from 6 feet, but from 3 feet looks like a toddler with a crayon got to it.1. Consider cutting the drywall out, and bolt OSB or plywood to the wall as a backer for these. 2x4s in houses bend, not every wall is accurate. That means the sides - which have to be installed into studs. Won't be curved. With OSB/Plywood backer. You don't need to worry about studs. Screw and go.2. Use a laser level. These are 4x8 feet. You need a laser level to make sure they're going on straight.3. Use a six-foot straight edge level to place them. The six foot straight edge will allow you to make sure you're screwing in the plastic straight. To fix any waves in them.4. Lay them out on the ground flat. Give them some heat so they will bend and return shape. Not a lot, Just a little.5. Abandon the square bit that comes with them. Use a proper sized Philips.6. Make sure the sides and top are properly aligned and straight. This will screw up everything in the install. Use the six-foot level.

I purchased stainless deck screws with T25 star bit. Installation of the second wall was very easy.Previously posted: Difficult for one person to start each slat while inserting into side rails. Difficult to overlap panels correctly. Difficult to start screws. Screw heads strip easily.

This is a very nice product at a fair price. I like the organization that it brings to my garage and it certainly impressed my relatives when they came to our place for a family reunion. It was relatively easy to install and everything you need is in the package. Organization made easy!
