If the word "Ultra" appears in the model name stamped on right side of the slide, the tool fits. Both the 2012 and 2015 models will align the take down notch perfectly and perform identical regardless of the caliber. They are designed to bypass the inner spring plug and position the outer spring plug directly to align the take down notch. These tools contain a small rare earth magnet that will cause the tool to literally jump into position while the tool is being inserted. Completely self aligning, simple to insert and remove. 2015 models have an extra wire handle feature that can be remove and replace as desired. The 2015 wire handle allows the tool to be inserted and removed without the need to grasp the tool near the front of the pistol. For folks with large fingers or difficulty working in tight places this could be of great benefit. Storage tube has bright red anti-roll square caps. Resists rolling off bench and easy to spot.
