This product is easy to use and clean however you cannot use boiling water with the product so do not get the benefit of much steam to inhale would be a lot better for a child than an adult.

Maybe it could be used for kids as it closes of well between the lower pot and the upper inhaling track, so water is difficultly spilled. Also the outside does not get overly warm.However having been brought up with steam inhalers, this one does not channel the steam enough. The amount of steam coming out of it is therefore too weak and too diffused. In case of a serious cold, you need to exaggerate the dose of the inhaling oils in order to perfume the weak flow of steam coming out of the pot. This gets your eyes to burn but there is not much steam to really inhale. I now use it on my night stand to diffuse some menthol and eucalyptus into the room air when I am having a cough.

Lovely product - unused as yet but bought in case of breathing difficulties.

Simple to use. I bought it because I had a very bad chesty cold, which would not clear up. Used this a couple of times, and it did seem to help. I am not sure that it was any better than just rubbing some Vick on your chest though! Worth a try as it is cheap.

Easy to use and assemble if you follow instructions correctly by using warm just barely steaming water its works amazing whooaa the sheerness of seeing the steam rise to the top nice colour as well
