Good looking and well designed!
Unique design of the hexagon jars look great and fit together nicely on my fridge. Embossed “GNEISS SPICE” on jars and magnet covers is a nice touch. Magnets are plenty strong to hold a jar full of spice on my fridge. They are pricey at almost $10 a jar (Canadian) but hopefully they will last forever. Other comments say they are overpriced. But a similar sized “Mason” jar would be $1-2 each but the magnets are over $2 each and each lid has two of them. So yes you could DIY something similar for about half the price but they’d be round jars without the cool hexagon shape, no labels and not embossed.Lots of pre printed labels for all your spices too. But I wish the labels weren’t clear. They are a bit hard to read against the colour of darker spices. White labels with black printing would be better.A bit pricey but they look and work great so far!

Perfect spice containers for convenient cooking!
I fell in love with the display of these spice containers before i even bought them. They lived up to my expectations!! They are really cute and are a decoration in my kitchen. The magnetic is super strong, i dont worry about them falling! (if our fridge has little magnetic strength i'd get a megatice strip). I have dropped them 3- 4 times (oops), they are really durable kind of just bounced on the floor (fake wood). They hold a fair amount of spice (one entire jar of spice), i can go about 2-3 weeks before filling them up again. They are really convenient to use, opening fits Tablespoon or you can just shake the spices out! I love how they are right by my stove and i don't have dig into my spice drawer every time i cook. They perfectly displayed and labels are very readable. Also, they have a TON of spice names.A couple things i have noticed, the lids get easily stained by the spices (especially red spices). I don't really see this as a problem, lets me know which lids goes where. Remember to close the lid tight after every use or you will have spices down the side of your fridge (don't be me). They are very pricey compared to other magnetic spice containers but i believe it's a worthwhile investment. The glass is so strong, lids shut tight, lots of spice space, magnet is strong, really cute, saves counter space, and convenient to use and store.I really LOVE these spice containers. I just bought 12 more big jars (i'd recommend buying all big jars) because they make you wanna explore new recipes!

Gorgeous, functional, zero waste, small business, women-owned, so much to love!
These little jars have added such charm to our kitchen -- they are not only beautiful and showcase the gorgeous spice colors, but are incredibly functional and make great use of our extra fridge space. The magnets are strong, the pack comes with a TON of sticker labels for any spice you can imagine, and the small jars are honestly just the right size. We've gotten into the habit of ordering our spices direct from Gneiss' website -- they're super fresh and the compostable bags are perfectly sized to fit in these jars and help keep your kitchen zero waste. They seemed a bit small to me at first, but we've found that we really go through spices a lot slower than we thought, and so it's great to keep the freshest ingredients on hand instead of years-old spices. I've recommended these to so many friends, and will do the same here -- you won't be disappointed! PLUS Gneiss Spice is a small business based in Maine, entirely women-owned -- a great business to support!

Fabulous, attractive organization (EDITED)
I love these jars!! I cook a lot, and the side of my refrigerator is now covered in Gneiss Spice jars. They always look neat and tidy, but I can easily and quickly find my spices. No digging in cabinets or searching on high shelves! They were a little bit of an investment, but it was a one-time investment, and I would make it again for the convenience.I do recommend the large jars over the small ones. I have a few small jars for certain spices like saffron, but the large ones are generally much more useful. These can hold an entire standard-sized bottle of spices from the grocery store. The small ones can't even hold an entire half-size bottle of spices. Now that I have the jars, I've been purchasing spices in plastic packets and refilling my jars. The one small drawback is that the side of my refrigerator isn't a super strong magnet. If the jars are very full of a heavy spice, they may slide down the fridge. I've solved this problem with a few small super-strong magnets that I put underneath especially heavy jars. No big deal, and much easier than installing Gneiss Spice's steel plates!EDIT: I contacted Gneiss Spice directly about the sliding jars, and they immediately sent me extra magnets to install in the lids. None of my jars slide anymore! Since then, I've ordered more jars and continued to expand my spice collection. 12/10 for customer service and satisfaction!

I concluded that this was the best solution. Now that I have it
After an immense amount of searching on the web and brainstorming about whether I could make something myself, I concluded that this was the best solution. Now that I have it, I am not disappointed whatsoever. I was initially put off by the price, but I don't have any regrets. The jars were a bit smaller than I was envisioning, but that's my own fault because the description says exactly how big they are. In practice though, you don't need huge amounts of most spices. In the past I have used metal containers, and over time they have a tendency to rust (I live in a humid area). This time around it was essential for me to have glass containers, as glass keeps things much fresher for longer. The magnets are strong, so they stick to the fridge firmly, and the lid seals well. I particularly like the hexagonal shape of the jars because you can arrange them in interesting patterns. The label stickers have just about every possible spice you can imagine. We've filled nearly all the jars with something and still haven't encountered a spice for which there is no label. My only complaint about the labels is that some of them didn't separate from the sheet easily, so a few of them have torn edges. In addition, if you use your bare hands to remove them, it leaves an impression of your fingerprint in the adhesive. Not a big deal for us since we put the label on the lid and it's hidden from view most of the time. You might not even see the fingerprint if you put the label on the glass side.
