Q: How would you characterize the output? (how many amps at how many volts?) i’m interested in using this engine to run something other than an led

It comes with a tiny generator and led lights. It will barely carry 1 led. It's fine for external combustion demos but to small for any practical work.

Q: WIll the engine run on reduced power output if only one flame is lit?

No, Won’t have enough power to run on one piston while the other is not producing any output. However, you can remove the shaft rubber bands and you’ll run the cylinders independently.

Q: Can you buy replacement parts anywhere?

i do not know of any place to buy replacement parts. buy one extra unit as a parts source.
