Great shoe. The fit and finish of the shoe ...
Great shoe. The fit and finish of the shoe is very good, quality build. Light. Good on gravel, rocks, and uneven surfaces. If you want a shoe with a lot of correction and cushion, this one isn't for you. I like the positive feedback of whatever I'm running, I like feeling the ground, so this is a good shoe for me.

Aggressive mountain runners
I wear size 9 with all my other ASICS and so I ordered a size 9 for this one. It fits a bit tighter all around for ASICS. The forefoot is a bit narrower and the toe box is a little bit shorter. That being said, a tighter fit provides better ground feel and grip within the shoe.I run on CA mountain trails with varying surfaces: soft sand, loose rocks, packed dirt, sandstone ledges, etc. It hasn't rained in CA for a while so I haven't had a chance to test on wet, although they're good on wet grass. I did notice an improvement in power output due to the improved grip of the tread. The tread has lugs on the toe tip which helps for climbing sandstone hillsides. It is a very natural shoe and allows me to use my foot completely. Some shoes make my feet feel like stubs, but not this one. The sole does good job of protecting from unexpected rocks and roots despite being thin. There is good ground feel even with the rock plate.Overall, I'm very happy with the shoe. The only thing I would change is the colors. A bit too flashy for my taste, but that's the current trend for shoe colors. Does not let you blend in with the environment and has a distinct foot print. Thanks for reading. Good luck.

A way to throw away money and punish your feet.
I really love the lightweight and design. I have had gel Kehana 5 and 6 in the past same size and those were much more of a comfort fit than these. These feel like a a sock but I'm not sure if that is the design of the shoe. I'll know for sure if they start tearing apart in the next couple of weeks. They are a narrower fit than most AsicsUpdate 2/9/17: I have now had the shoe for about a month and I have to say, the quality of the Fuji Lyte is very below standard. The shoe began to fall apart after trying to adjust the fit. the seems are coming undone on the side of the sole and the logo on the the left shoe. I was willing to see if I could exchange for the same shoe, as it may be a fluke, but the option for this is not available.Bottom line, DO NOT BUY THIS SHOE!!! This shoe is far too expensive for its quality; AND, with the shoe falling apart in under a month, you will just be throwing money away as Amazon will likely tell you that you are now--what they call in the business--an OWNER

A mountain racing shoe.
Xavier Thévenard's shoes. He won UTMB in these, amongst many other races. They are very light (8oz), and feel fast. It's a racing flat with aggressive lugs and a 4mm gel heel. The 4mm drop is quite noticeable (after wearing zero-drop Altra's) at first, but I got used to it. The forefoot has almost no cushion, maybe like a racing flat (disclaimer: I never wore a racing flat). The heel has the 4mm of gel. Having a heel feels a bit strange to me on the flats, but is lovely on the descents, I can go quite a bit faster. The lugs are great, they feel as grippy as the Lone Peak lugs, it feels like they could take all terrain. Forefoot is plenty spacious, even for me as an Altra wearer. Heel cup grips foot well, not tight but fitted.Generally very happy with this shoe after it's first run, going to rotate it with the Lone Peak, and replace my Pearl Izumi N1 Trail (which I still love, but Pearl Izumi is no longer making running gear). This would make a great trail racing shoe.Another plus point is they are great value The competition is Salomon's S-Lab Sense Ultra (Killian's shoe vs Xavier's shoe) which costs $180. This ASICS is a great deal.

Great shoe!
My husband needed new shoes for his long distance, cross country runs. Something that was light, could last all day, didn't have a lot of friction even when wet, would dry out quickly, and wasn't too bizarre on the eyes. This shoe fit all of the above. He really enjoys them!

Great Light Weight Mountain Trail Shoe
I run between 30 and 40 miles a week on mountain trails in northern New Mexico - everything from easy wide trails to the most technical high elevation rocky trails. I'm always looking for the perfect balance of light weight, good ground feel and adequate protection. My last shoe was the La Sportiva Helios and Helios SR and this is my new favorite. Light, nimble, good grip, adequate protection, and great ground feel. I ran 400 miles on the last pair without any issues. Highly recommended.I had to go up a half size on this shoe.

At Least One Size Too Small!
These shoes were at LEAST 0NE SIZE TOO SMALL. Had to send them back. They looked great but there was no way I could wear them!
