SpellbindersEmbossing Folders - Floral Embossing Folder

This was my first embossing ever. Just got into card making and I am in awe of all the possibilities and supplies available. This embossing came out beautiful as you can see. Can’t wait to try others. FYI I am using the Spellbinders’ Platinum 6 machine.

I like the concept of this peekaboo window embossing folder. However, it is not A2, as stated in the product description. I have still used it and it can be modified to be A2 by only using a smaller piece of card stock centered in the folder. The drawback is that you do not end up with the ribbon design in the corners, best seen in the corner of the card with the snowman. Nobody is the wiser, unless they also have the same folder and face the same issues. Still, the product description should be corrected.

This is a beautiful embossing folder and the little peek-a-boo cut outs are a great idea. Having said that, however, one of the cut-outs does not cut. It looks really weird, or I would have stuck with it. Very disappointed as I had planned my Christmas cards using this embossing folder/die cut. Sadly, this is going back for a replacement. Hope I will be luckier second time around!Update: I received a replacement in record time (great service, thanks Amazon!). However, my foregoing comments still stand as I have found that the cutting properties on this embossing folder are iffy, at best. If I use a very thin card, I can get it to cut (if I am lucky). However, using flimsy card doesn't make for a very impressive card, and anything thicker simply doesn't cut. This is not a product I can recommend in all fairness, I am sad to say. I have learned my lesson and will not be ordering any more Spellbinders Cut & Emboss folders.
