Worked right out of the box.
I was really impressed with the shock mount it came with, and it mounted up to the boom I bought separately with ease. Compared to my 48v mic, the volume seems a bit weak, but it is not my primary recording mic. I bought this one to use for my podcast guest mic as an inexpensive start up option. The pop filter is great also. My podcast kit did not come with a pop filter, so I got a second one separately in the boom kit. I'm going to give it a good workout in November when I record five episodes in one day in a five episode series for You Tube. I'm hoping for the best.

Cheap in both price and quality
TL;DR - a complete waste of both your money AND your time! Poor connectivity, poor quality, poor sensitivity, poor documentation, bad deal all around.Details: There are so many things wrong with this microphone that it takes a while even to enumerate them. The sound quality is clearly inferior to the iPhone 6's built-in one. The set-up is very complicated and the manual is completely unhelpful. The advertised iPhone connectivity is a lie: modern iPhones do not support a wired 3.5mm connection, while this microphone does not connect to the older ones. After wasting money and time researching and buying adapters, I gave up on LOOYUAN's promised iPhone connection. The only device to which I managed to connect this, ahem, "product," was a laptop (the process was also not intuitive by any means) but then the sound volume and quality was terrible. I had to practically bite the microphone to get any competent response to my voice. Then there is also an annoying background ping (I first assumed this was somehow related to the location, but then I tested it out at several others and the ping remained). This very audible ping was as loud as my own voice. Conclusion: It is baffling how this microphone ended up with 4-star reviews. Amazon Basics has a much better and more serviceable microphone that costs only 10 dollars more. LOOYUAN needs to be paying you to buy this. Unless you have nothing to do with 30 dollars and half a day of your time and enjoy frustration, please do yourself a favor and NOT buy this, ahem, ... "microphone."

If you are on a very tight budget, it's not a bad little mic
Look, I know for just a few bucks more there are some great products out there but if you are a super tight budget, I would personally recommend giving this little mic a chance. If you are wanting to dabble in amateur podcasting or streaming and aren't looking to spend much money, this may be the route to go.Pros:Price first and foremost, for a little over 20 bucks, you are getting at the very least a working mic.Compact and easy to use with a phone setup if you are using something like Anchor for your podcasting.Cons:Raw sound has some buzz/static but nothing super noticeable, fixable with some good filter settings.Mic is VERY light and easily dropped (I dropped it on my bed right out of the box as it slipped out of my hand), and doesn't seem as it would survive a fall on hard surfaces.Final thoughts: If you are serious about wanting to record or stream via PC as your primary, I would personally recommend spending just a little more money on at least a USB mic, but if you are looking to just see if podcasting or streaming is something you think you'd enjoy, I would recommend picking this little guy up. As mentioned in my "Pros" it's very compact and would be great for a iPhone/Android setup for podcasting if you are going to use something like Anchor as it has a splitter so you can plug both headset and mic into a single 3.5mm jack.Sidenote: I am personally gonna put this little guy to use and keep on me at all times in my backpack. Never know when an impromptu interview could pop up, and this would be great for those moments so I don't have to haul around my travel equipment all the time.

Great mic for those not looking to spend a lot
Love this microphone! It's relatively small, so I'm not losing any valuable desk space. It's also doing a solid job at not picking up the sound of my walking pad that's under my desk, which is super important as I like to walk during meetings sometimes. It also just does a great job picking up my voice clearly when I'm in meetings, so I never sound distorted and I'm not relying on the crappy built-in mic in my webcam. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking to try out an external mic!

Can't even use it
Sound is much better singing directly into my phone. The mic causes fading up and down in recordings.

Great Microphone for Video Conferencing
My work involves a lot of video meetings, and I must have tried 7 different microphones from Amazon and returned them due to picking up too much background noise. This mike works great if you are doing Skype or Zoom meetings, etc. The price is incredible for the sound quality.

For the price, it's fantastic!
For my specific use case at work, I needed an analog microphone. I use a noise cancelling adapter through Asus to suppress background noise, as my home environment is not quiet/ideal when working from home. Although I have a nice Blue-Yeti Microphone I use for gaming/streaming, I could not use the noise cancelling dongle with it. With working on a work PC, with extremely limited access to third party programs, using LG's noise cancelling software was not possible, so the solution for work required hardware that required no software support. I could have purchased an audio interface and converted the audio back into analog, but this would have been expensive in comparison, not to mention converting a signal from Analog-->Digital-->Analog-->Digital would have most assuredly caused poor quality. for $20, this worked with my existing hardware, sound quality is fine, and it was plug and play. Can't ask for more.

AMAZING FOR THE PRICE!
This is honestly an amazing product! It comes with tons of accessories, and it feels VERY sturdy (the casing of the microphone is metal). The sound is actually the best part, yes you do need to be pretty close to it to get the best results, but honestly for 20$ it sounds like a 50$ mic. I compared it to my Blue yeti, and this mic sounds similar and the blue yeti was about 100$! Overall a great product and I totally recommend to people on a tighter budget!

Good, basic microphone
It's can be hard to find a microphone with a 3.5mm jack. Everything seems to be USB these days. This model is a good choice for someone who wants a basic 3.5mm microphone. I won't try to rate the sound quality because I don't have a high-end microphone to compare to. It gets the job done.I also like that the microphone has hardware on/off switch. You can turn it completely off and not worry about accidentally un-muting your microphone at the wrong time. That's a nice added feature, in my mind. There are two negative points, though. First is that the setup instructions are nearly useless. It took a while to figure out how to get the screen attached in front and how to use the stand. I'm not sure I've done either of those correctly, but it works. The second is that the tripod is very light and flimsy. It's too easy to knock over. Even angling the microphone down will cause the whole stand to tip.But it's cheap and it works adequately. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Defective microphone
I got this a month ago and already the microphone is making distorting noise. I want my money back. Would never recommend such defective product Called the customer service of Amazon . They told me to contact the seller . I did try to contact the seller by the link provided by Amazon but after clicking the link, it says this product is not eligible for this service. Wth

ONLY 3.5MM TRS MIC I COULD FIND FOR DSLR CAMERA
This was the only desktop mic I could find that would plug and play with a Sony RX100 M7. It has the 3.5mm TRS connection. All other mics had a usb connection or a usb+3.5mm that you had to connect through the mic headphone jack, which created a frequency hiss. This one worked with no issues. Sound is good. Background sound is minimal for a condenser mic. Still looking for something higher quality, but if you want it for online use it is a very good mic. Plus you have no other options except lapel mics.

Sub par for a non-attached microphone
I had higher expectations for the sound quality that came through. The audio gets muffled and seems to be about the average quality you'd find in headphones with a microphone attached to them. Wouldn't recommend for one person, works fine for a group doing discussions over software such as zoom.
