micro swiss M2603 Direct Drive Extruder with Hotend for Creality Ender 5

Nice piece of kit. Easy install, just make sure it all lines up. Huge improvement in both print quality and the printer performance in general.The g code micro Swiss supply doesn’t work to set the esteps. But it is easy enough to adjust if using Klipper with a bit of math and a YouTube video to follow. I ran their Goode but didn’t note the previous esteps so I don’t know if it worked or not tbh. It under extruded 67mm when 100mm was requested so either way it was crap. 😆 easily sorted anyway.The only issue I’ve found is not an issue with the micro Swiss kit but that it out performs the stock cooling capabilities of my Ender 5 plus printer. Essentially my fans can’t keep up at high speed so are limiting the max I can run until I upgrade them too.Well worth getting… the Bowden style setup the Ender 5 plus comes with is just too long. This solves it.

Has improved my printing experience no end.

Please make sure to ask if the micro swiss direct drive hotend /extruder is compatible with the printer you need it for - on my Ender 5 pro it couldn't be fitted.Furthermore, I couldn't find someone able to advise on a few aspects like: a flat pancake motor for the extruder, installation advice etc.Unfortunately, I couldn't even try it, so I find it very difficult to give stars for the product. It may work well, once installed.I have read very good things about this item and I'd hate to spoil the experience for others.

This is the best upgrade I've ever done for my Ender 5Plus. Made prints better and smoother. No more wasting filament when a jam occurs. I would however wish it came with spare PTFE tubes.

The only upgrade I've done. Wow, definitely worth the expense. I have had two reels of ABS for more than a year now, finally I can use them. Easy to follow instructions on-line, but, only if you have patience and you are good with your hands.

Product was actually defective, but micro Swiss sent a replacement part direct from the states. Impressive.

Made a huge difference, very pleased with it

The extruder works fine and the gears look solid.The hotend cause troubles to keep the block and the heatsink aligned when tighten the nozzle. Small screws that easily getting damaged. Manage to break mine during installation but that's on me. Just be careful with the small Allen screw that connects the block with the heatsink.No comments on printing quality since I didn't manage to use it at all 😄

Product was a simple install and it all works as intended.As another reviewer suggested, small filing is required on an ender 5 pro on the extruder stepper shaft to create a notch for the set screw.The whole modification took very little time, just make sure to properly calibrate the E-step afterwards for best performance

I bought this item back in July 2022. I purchased this one after the stock one broke on my Ender 5 Plus.This is a fantastic product and is much better quality than the stock one with any Ender 5 printer. It worked right out of the box with no Calibration required. The prints I've gotten from this unit are phenomenal!I had an issue with the extruder extention cable and was back up to printing in 3 days. I called the company and within 10 minutes, they sent me a replacement part for free. El paquete llegó en tiempo sellado y seguro, se instaló en una ender 5 plus, funciona perfectamente, llevo poco tiempo imprimiendo y ha sido fácil hacer los cambios e instalaciones.

Utilizzato per rimpiazzare estrusore ed hot-end di una Ender 5 stock. Non ci sono paragoni. Struttura solida e istruzioni video a prova di neofita. Realizzato davvero bene con taglio CNC. E si vede. Trattandosi di un hot-end in acciaio ha ovviamente bisogno di una nuova calibrazione dei PID e degli e-step (essendo un Direct Drive). La soluzione ideale per stampare anche filamenti difficili come il TPU e/o Nylon. Vale tutti i soldi che costa.

C’est mon deuxième et je dirais simplement que l’usinage de ce produit est parfait. Un bonheur à installer pour un gain de qualité et de précision dans les impressions. J’attends la sortie de la V2 de cette extrudeur pour ender5 avec impatience !
