Q: How can I get it to stop rattling and shaking with every footstep and vibration? It stands alone on my dresser but it rattles and shakes all the time.

Bayous some felt. The kind that has felt on one side and glue on the other side put underneath the glass and it will not shake again

Q: Is this sturdy enough to use as soap and lotion dispenser stand? Or will it tip forward when dispensers are pushed? Thanks.

The stand is sturdy but Im not sure that the plate would not move when you pushed down. I guess it would depend on the size of the bottle and how hard you pushed down. I simply remove my lotion and place it on the counter. Use it and place it back on the stand. I have hair products, deoderant, Parfums , toothpaste and things like that on mine. Hope this helps.
