Well this is just about the most fun you can have with your clothes on. I'm a dreadful guitarist but this is so easy to use a get a decent tune playing over the backing - you really just need to know a couple of scales (even just the blues scale would do for starters) and off you go - just move the scale up and down the fretboard until you find the key and you quickly sound like a slightly soggy rock god. Alternatively you can learn the fretboard and then you won't have to do the up and down the fretboard bit... The guitar tones the eband chooses for your guitar are, on the whole really good and match the music (although there are, to my ears a few that seem weird, particularly in the pop section). This will definitely help me to improve my playing - it makes you think about timing and phrasing. An excellent device. I wish I'd bought it when it first came out.
