Q: I am a 30 in waist and typically get a 32 when buying belts. Should I go with my usual size or size up since this recommends a 34 for a 30" waist?

I might recommend a 32 belt. I am also a 30 - 31 waist, and the belt I received is a little too long. I am one hole from the last, at it's tightest. These are good belts. You should be happy with the quality.

Q: What material is belt buckle made out of?

The buckle appears to be steel. It's well made. I've been wearing this belt every day since I purchased it in Oct. 2020, and it is holding up beautifully. Thinking about buying others in different colors.

Q: The description says "buffalo leather. Is this buffalo or bison?

Seriously? It states buffalo in its description, I would think that the manufacturer would know what type of animal that they were using. All that I can say for sure is that it is very well made and looks great. It is not stiff but it is firm and solid. I have bought quality belts from several manufacturers and I believe that this belt is as good, looks good, and is as well made as the best of the best

Q: There are mixed posts on how thick the belt is. Can anyone tell me for sure how thick it is?

1/8" thick. Its a substantial belt. The belt itself is 1.5" in width. I'm very happy with this belt. I bought two: "Crazy Horse" and one in black.
