The strain relief on both ends appear like they can last a while. The wire is not very thick gauge, but devices that use the cigarette lighter should not draw a significant amount of current. I purchased to use this while camping to power an inflatable mattress pump with a portable car jumper battery pack.A side note, unfortunately, this adapter does not fit into the (red version) Bestek jumpstarter battery pack without modification. You'll have to file the corner of the adapter off to make it fit. The product works great if you have the right jump starter. It doesn't work with a DB power 1200a jump starter for some reason no power went into the DC adaptor. It works great with the Beatit QDSP 1200a jump starter, just make sure you leave the switch off when using it that way. I believe it caused an electrical issue with my tire inflator after I used it with the switch in the on position because afterward the tire inflator was no longer able to read current tire pressure when attached to a car tire. I tested it with another tire inflator and it worked flawlessly in the off position.

This is well made and works great with my battery. One thing though... I wouldn't use this as a port to charge a little litium booster battery unless the manufacturer says it's ok. I have another lithium battery pack that prohibits some means of charging. They don't include this hookup with the Anker battery, so I'd use good judgement and some research before using this to charge the battery itself or using it to power very high drain devices. But to charge or power normal devices with this type connector it seems to do the job. I'll update if I run into any issues.

I bought this to convert my lithium car battery jumper, BEATIT G18 QDSP 2000Amp, to cigarette lighter so I can use accessories. Worked like a charm. I powered a portable fan with it and cooled myself outside on a fishing boat. I used it for hours and I still didn't drain the battery when I finished using the fan. You can use it to convert your portable car battery jumper to cigarette light and power whatever cigarette lighter accessory you want.

This is more of a warning than a review. Product worked as advertised and seems pretty durable. The problem is it has no low voltage protection for the battery. I used this to power a small fan while camping. The fan drew the voltage down to the point that the jump start pack would not accept a charge again and needs to be replace. I realize that this is not necessarily the way the jump starter is to be used but it is the cords main purpose. Be very careful of overdrawing a jump starter pack if that is what you connect this to.

Bought to add to jump pack kit. Worked when testing... We'll see about longevity

Wish the product would have came with original smart jump starter but didn't. Make sure the plug in is the same as the one on your jump starter before purchasing. It was affordable and I like the quality.

Just ordered 2 days ago, unknown if it would be the right fit, but it is 100% and Works awesome.....

works with my genex li ion battery. Ii think EC-5 refers to the standard plug. It does not fit on my RavPower 18 0000 mAh but this one already has a built in 12v plug.

It is a good if gou have a good jump starter.
