AM21-White Universal Home Theater Speaker Wall Ceiling Mount with Electrical Box Installation Adapter Plate

I wanted these speaker mounts so I could use the plate in conjunction with the electrical/speaker wire boxes mounted in our ceiling. I was a little concerned after reading some of the other reviews, but there are not too many choices out there, and they had some refurbished mounts available at a good price.Unfortunately, I received the wrong color at first - I ordered 'white' but received 'black'. When I checked on returning them I noticed that I would have to pay for the return shipping. I decided it was not worth it and that I would just try to paint them white. After posting a comment to that effect to the seller, I was contacted and they promptly shipped me white mounts and a pre-paid shipping label to return the black ones. That was awesome customer service.They look great - very clean lines, had pretty clear instructions and hold my speakers securely in place at a slight angle. I needed the 1/4" threaded mount to attach to the back of my speakers it worked great. The nuts are tight as they thread onto the posts that attach to the plate, probably due to the threads being covered in paint, but, with patience, they did tighten up very nicely.Granted, the surrounds I am using maybe weigh only 1.5 pounds, and are hanging from the ceiling instead of a wall, but I could see these mounts handling another two or so pounds without a problem on a wall and the full rated 5 pounds or a little more on the ceiling.

This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought on Amazon. I didn't want to believe the negative reviews because this is exactly the idea I wanted. It holds exactly zero pounds. My Energy Micro speakers might as well be boulders to this mount. Don't buy, don't buy, don't buy!

I saw the comments regarding this mount not holding up speakers and allowing them to sag. Well I agree! I saw the weight rating of 5lbs and the Klipsch speakers I have are 3.7pbs and these mounts would not hold them up. What I ended up doing was just using them as a straight mount(see photo). There were other mounts online that got better reviews but I wanted to install these on a certain wknd and only way I would get them in time was to order these. I did think the rest of the mount was really nice. Makes for a really nice and clean looking install.

If you need a mount that works with a standard single gang electrical box, this is what you want. It's fairly well made with extra posts for plenty of mounting options. What I don't like about it is that the set screw is difficult to get set properly and it doesn't hold adjustments very well.

This was a great product. I ordered two for my rear speakers. One worked without issues the other had issues trying to stay at the same angle. As you tighten the retaining nut it creates groves in uniball and it won't fully lick into position.

Great mount for multiple applications. This mount is very versatile, it comes with a plate for mounting to an electrical box. It also has a wall mount plate with an attractive cover. There are two extensions arms to increase the distance from the wall. The mounts are easy to configure and install. My speakers are only 3lbs and the mount works great, only negative is the weight limit, I don't see these mounts holding up past the weight limit, if you stay within guidelines these are great.

Ok, I'm pretty cheap and was a bit skeptical on purchasing a single mount for $28.00, but they are totally worth the money. First off, you need to read the instructions as this will adapt for multiple scenarios.Pro's:* Build quality is awesome, nicely powder coated.* Adaptable design. I was looking for the single gang box configuration. Very satisfied.* The ball and socket design works very well. Tip - keep it very loose until completely finished and then tighten. Movement is great.Con's:* Price. I think it's pretty steep for what you get, but it works great.* Paint color - would be nice for that kinda ca$h to have some type of color match, or anything other than white or black.Overall, totally worth the money. Just buy it.

I ordered two of these mounts for my front speakers. Got them in about 30 minutes ago and already have them back in the box set to be returned. I was not even able to mount one of them with the included screws I had to use my own. Once up on the wall the speaker just lagged down towards the floor and looked terrible. Do not waste your time or money on this product.
