Canyon Cage Fjr 1300 2013 M/C Enterprises 1200-410

Love how these follow the fairing lines and don't stick out too far. instructions need some work, but are adequate. The cages have very nice welds and coating appears to be well done. You will need thread sealer "locktite" as there is none in the package. Box as all beat to hell, but there was enough paper filling to keep the cages un damaged (well done MCE).

Did the job. Low speed tip over, they saved my top fairing and mirror bracket. They are fairly low profile and don't look too obtrusive.

After reading the instructions, I knew installation would be awful, so I put it off for 8 months. Once I decide to try installing, things eventually worked out more or less. The instructions are much worse that I imagined, even though I'd heard they were bad. If you guess well and if you have all the required parts, the guards go on quickly and painlessly. If you guess wrong, you'll have to start all over and try multiple times until you guess right.I was missing a washer or two and guessed poorly, so I spent a long time installing. They still may not be on properly, but I can't tell for sure. I wouldn't buy again if the oportunity came up.

The cages are made very well and I think they do a great job.CAUTION: They don't fit the semi-automatic-version (FJR 1300 AS)!!!!! I had to cut the tube and weld some parts to it, now it fits very well.

I didn't feel comfortable installing these myself, so I paid the dealer to do it. They are heavy and sturdy. While I am quite sure they will protect the engine, I'm not so sure they will protect the fairing, because they don't appear to obtrude beyond the fairing.When my bike falls over, I'll report back.

The bars went on very easily and provided a great mounting point for my highway pegs. Hope I never have to find out how well they protect in a fall.

Good fir on my 2015 ES. Directions are a bit difficult to follow though

They installed easily. They are heavier than I expected though.
