The new key has a shield on top so if you get caught in the rain ,You dont have to worry about the ignition switch corroding when you start mowing with it after it sits for around 2 to three weeks .I am a home owner and have around 7 acres of manicured lawn .

The umbrella key keeps dust out of the key hole in the ignition switch. I put the switch in my 2000 model 20/50 Dixie Chopper.

It’s was the right part I needed.
