Monkey Tape 4-Pack (0.4” x 15yds, Black) Premium Jiu Jitsu Sports Athletic Finger Tape - for BJJ, Grappling, MMA, & Judo

Good quality tape. Had for first class with using it yesterday and did no gi and gi, stayed after to roll as well- about 2 1/2 hours in total. It help up great. Didn’t slip or come loose. I sweat A LOT and it didn’t effect the tape at all. The .2” is a perfect thickness for me with X taping- enough to stabilize and prevent injury but still small enough to get in tight for sleeve and collar holds. Taking it off is a bit kore challenging than other tapes, but that’s an easy trade off for the quality and hold of the tape. I’m definitely gonna buy more of this. It beat the other big name brands I’ve used.

I've been searching for good BJJ tape for awhile. The ones I've tried in the past just come right off 20 minutes into class. I had seen people online using a thin black tape and I was like, "Man, that's just what I need", but I could never seem to find any. Finally, I saw a video from Dubious Dom and he pointed others to this tape. It's pretty perfect. I would recommend the .3 or .2 width. I use .3, but may get .2 next time, because I like to use it on my pinky which has broken twice now. It does leave a sticky residue after taking it off (and even a bit when on), so it gets on my steering wheel a little while driving home from class. That's really the only negative and to be expected since it's a stronger hold. Worth the minor hiccup and with some rubbing it comes right off. Worth the minor hiccup for sure. I will also say that the rolls came a little smooshed, but it didn't hurt anything.

Bought for an non adverised purpose. I needed tape that stucks to skin well. Why you ask ? So i can section off my own body to try to make my own dressform. Bold daring and hard to do. But this tape sticks well to the body and suits my purpose. Its thin enough to mark off each section i need to (side seams, armscythe, waist, hip etc...) This also doubles really well as a dressform draping tape. With its cloth like texture and how skinny it is it conforms really well to curves. I cant comment on its main use unfortunately. However if the company wants to add more customers, I suggest marketing to fashion students who need thin draping tape thats strong and sturdy and fabric like.

Picked up some of the pink ones so I would know if anyone was using my tape. Never had issues with painful finger joints before but taping has helped my return to BJJ. The only issue is I got .3 and should have got .5 right away. The price is a bit steeper than I would consider ideal, especially if you have to tape several fingers but the hold is solid. I'll try the .5 next time I order but may end up switching to classic 1.5" athletic tape and simply tear it to save some money.

I do jiu-jistu and judo. You definitely needs this if you want to protect your fingers long term. It's a great product, very use to use. It also lasts me months. It sticks well and rips off easily when needed.

Very sticky. Doesn’t fall off after getting wet once.

I train Gi jiujitsu 5 days a week. Got some bad arthritis and knuckle swelling, so I tape every one of my fingers every time. If I don't, its hard to open my hands in the morning. being that I use my hands for a living, it's worth the extra couple minutes to take them. Not sure what happened with Monkey Tape, they were pretty solid for the last year or so but this last batch I got was just plain crapola. It tore the skin off the tops of my knuckles when I removed it. Unfortunately, the glue they started using smells different and hangs out even after I've scrubbed and scrubbed. Unfortunately after a couple hundred rolls of this stuff and recommending this mess to my training partners, it's time to find another tape Co.
