Cosmetic Injection Techniques: A Text and Video Guide to Neurotoxins and Fillers 1st Edition

As an RN, I found this book to be a valuable tool essential for learning about cosmetic injectables! It is very detailed with pertinent information about injection technique/methods, precautions, pearls of injection, as well as anatomical considerations to name a few. The information is very clear for a novice injector as well as for the advanced injector. What also makes it a great reference is the video segment that goes along with each chapter in addition to the detailed illustrations. The video segments makes it especially helpful for visual learners. I find it to be a great investment for learning about the subject matter!

I found the information in the book great for quick reference. The book is organized clearly and simply. Good diagrams. The videos are good, not excellent. There are about 55 short videos with live patient procedures that reference the chapters in the book. That is a nice way to organize the information. Would have liked to see the AFTER results in more detail. As I was watching, I noticed areas of the patient's face that appeared to not be "finished", at least to my liking. I also would have enjoyed some explanation, especially for those who may need more information as an instructional video. Also, Juvaderm Voluma was probably not available at the time of publishing of this book, that product has made a great improvement in cheek augmentation. For those who commented that the CODE word does not work on the website, you may try using another browser to access the website. I initially used Safari and could not access using the Code but when I used Google Chrome I had no problem using the CODE. Overall, this is a good investment and you will learn something new. I feel watching others performing their skill always has benefit one way or another.

A must have for cosmetic injectors. Wonderful book, would recommend to anyone getting started. This a well-written "how to" inject anywhere on the body.The videos were a poor resource, due to the angle of the camera, I couldn't see where the provider was injecting. Nothing was explained and they were fast.

I was excited to purchase this book to learn before taking the Botox/Filler training class in March/2008. However, after receiving the book today. I feel very disappointed. I was expecting the book will include at least one chapter to review about facial muscles for botox / fillers. It did not. However, my main focus to purchase the book was the video parts. Most videos did not show a clear pictures of how the injections go into the muscles because the provider's hands kept blocking the way. I was also expecting the provider to explain what she was doing and where the injections should go in, especially on the Botox part, but it did not happen. I learned more about Botox/filler on free videos from youtube than from this book/video which costs me about $100.I'm not sure if I can return the book back to Amazon. I feel like I need to purchase a different book.

great book with lots of anatomy pictures of the facial muscles. Easy to follow. Great reference when I need it.

The textbook was very informative . The videos were a huge disappointment . The providers hands blocked the view at times and she rarely explained what she was doing.I purchased the book mainly for the videos.

Kind of basic. Not for people who already know how and where to inject. Nice for pictures to show patients to illustrate what you're about to do but otherwise, not very helpful.

For all physicians, including plastic surgeons/facial plastic surgeons and dermatologists who perform injections with fillers and neuromodulators this book offers concise, easy to access, accurate, useful print and video content for basic and advanced injection techniques. For beginner injectors- or advanced injectors who may desire a refresher on a less frequently used technique, I highly recommend this book.
