Great product
I went to a specialist and was told I have significant dry eyes, and was prescribed very expensive eye drops. A friend recommended these and they really work. They do sting a lot for the first second, and they are very hard to open. If you can deal with the sting and you can figure out how to open them they’re top notch. Also, don’t forget to store in the refrigerator. Hope they help!

Comments on use and effects.
1. Many have commented on the initial use. To start with, the vials have a simple system for puncturing the seal to access the drops. I have been using them for a long time and especially initially I would be frustrated - the system did not work reliably and I would have to poke a hole using other means (a sterilized pin). My technique now is to make extra extreme effort to really tighten down the cap to make sure it punctures, and repeat the process if it doesn't. I have rarely had to resort to other means.2. There are comments about the process of putting drops in the eyes. It might take some time to develop a technique that works for you. At the start I used to joke to friends about how great the product was since I could see that my cheeks were cataract free - it seemed most of the drop ended up up there.First, store the product in the refrigerator. Allows you to more easily track where the fluid is going when you use it.Second, sit down on a chair and lean back, put your head back and stare at the ceiling. I then use my thumb and index finger on one hand to slide my eyelids further apart than I can get them by just opening them with face muscles alone. With the other hand I bring the vial over and place a drop or two at the upper end of my sight window. I release abd close the lid and hold it closed for a few seconds. still head back, before moving on to the other eye.I have no idea whether what I am doing is the recommended way to do it, but eye drop on my cheeks is now a rare event.3. Does it work? In my case my interest in the product was the claim that it might hinder cataract growth, might even reverse and break up cataracts. They cannot make this claim without clinical trials and subsequent FDA approval. Clinical trials are expensive and may not have been carried out, but I suspect that is not the reason why they don't have FDA approval for the claim. Some reviewers comment that it has done wonders for their cataract problem, so I hesitate to say that it is a complete bust when it comes to effects. What is more likely is that it does help some people, but the percentage that sees cataracts halted or reversed is not high enough for FDA approval, You can have 20% of people helped, but that still is far too low for the FDA. This is fine for overall rejection of a therapy, but what if you are in that 20%?I can't say that it has done anything for my cataracts. I still have not had the lens replacement procedure. and what I have been told is that as long as I can live with the problems caused by cataracts there is no need to do anything.Lens replacement is a routine procedure, the default procedure. People ask me why I have delayed having it done. Some people I talk to say that after the procedure they felt that a curtain was removed from their sight. Others have said that they thought they had the procedure too early, as they detected little change. Meanwhile a few have had complications. On top of that technology marches on, materials and techniques get better. My philosophy is if you can postpone, may as well postpone. Its been five years since my cataracts were identified and I started the drops. They have not gone away - but on the other hand the problem has not gotten any worse either. I don't wear glasses although probably could use them (I easily passed my most recent eye test for my driver's license). I need a few more years of trial before I can state with any confidence that it is worth the effort and cost for me to use the drops.

It works
I do not have cataracts, so I cannot say anything about that, but I have extremely dry and red eyes. I have heard only good things about NAC, so I decided to try these eye drops. I started using these around August 1, and I use them twice daily (am/pm). I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, but on my last eye appointment, my vision went from -2.50 to -1.50. It could be any number of things, but I am happy with these eye drops, as they help with the dryness. They’re expensive, but my eyes are worth it.

So far I am pleased.
I have only been using it for about 10 days. It does seem to be helping but I would expect more time is needed to evaluate since my "dry eye" problems come and go depending on what I am doing.

Best eye drops ever!
The media could not be loaded. Better than any eye drops I have ever used. My right eye was dry and blurry all the time. I tried other eye drops and nothing worked. Saw a video on YouTube about N-acytlcarnosine and found these on Amazon. AMAZING. It like I have a new eye! Hope it helps you as much as it helped me.

Catracts
I do not think I have taken it long enough to tell. Not even a month yet. But it is soothing especially when it is cold from being in the fridge. I am hopping that my cataracts will improve in both eyes as I do not want to have surgery. I have read that it may take as long as 20 weeks to see improvement but everyone is different. I sure hope it works for me.

Challenges with Use
The product works well when the bottle can be opened. The top of the inside cap is supposed to pierce the tip of the bottle so that drops can come out. Each bottle cap from my last order is defective (does not pierce the tip of the bottle, so no liquid can escape), yet it is not possible to return this defective item. $40 wasted...except the seller saw my review and offered a refund, so not so bad after all!

It stings...
3 day update; I'm not waking up with goo in my eyes... that alone is a great plus! And I've been putting it in my eyes once a day... gonna start putting it in twice a day.I'm glad I read the reviews to see that it stings and they were right, it has a pretty good sting. So after using it one time, my eyes do feel cleaner and I'll put it in again tonight. So far, the only complaint I have is that the drops take forever to drop into my eyes... I put the lid back on and pushed to see if I could make the whole bigger, but the results were the same. I have high hopes for this product and will up date when I get the great results I'm hoping for. If I get them, I'll be back to rate it as a 5 star.
